ORDINANCE 745ORDINANCE NO., 2-72-745 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES FROM EXPENDING CITY FUNDSi FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR SPOUSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of the City of ;South Miami, Florida to expend City funds for any travelling expenses of their respective spouses for travel outside the limits of Dade County, Florida, without the specific approval of the City Council. Section 2. As used herein, "Travel Expenses" shall include transportation costs, living'accomodations, meals, beverages, registration fees, and any other charges occasioned by travel outside the limits of Dade County, Florida Section 3. That any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed $500.000 or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprison- ment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge. Section 4. By reason of the nature of the content of this Ordinance, it shall be included in the Code of ordinances of the City Of South Miami, Florida. PASSED and ADOPTED this day of January. 1972.
