AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE III AND
ARTICLE'V OF SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
20-71-724, THE SAME BEING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
MIAMI, FLORIDA, BY ADDING TO SAID
SECTIONS A NEW DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS
"GU INTERIM DISTRICT, AND OTHER PROVISIONS
THERETO.
WHEREAS', from time to time, because of certain factors,
the characteristics and uses of certain areas within the City
indicate that a, change in zoning is anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the time varies within which the determination
can be made as to what zone would be best suited for said areas;
and
WHEREAS, the immediate rezoning of property for future
planning may result in an inequitable increase in the assessment
of ad valorem taxes on the said property.
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CM:
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Article III of Section 1 of Ordinance
20-71-724 be, and the same is hereby amended by adding at the
end of said Article, the followings

section 2. Article 'V of Section 1 of ordinance
20-71-724 be, and the same is hereby amended by adding immediately
at the en3 of said Article, the following-.

"ad valorem taxes should be assessed against
said property, and the present intention of
the City to rezone said property to a
particular zone sometime in the future."
Section 3. It is intended that this ordinance
be permanent :in nature, but same shall not be included in the
Code of ordinances of the. City of South Miami, Florida.
