ORDINANCE 779v ORDINANCE NO. 8 -73 -779 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 9 -2 OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, BY CHANGING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTORS; FROM SIX MONTHS TO SIXTY DAYS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:. Section 1. That Section 9 -2 of Chapter 9 of the Code of ordinances, City of South Miami, Florida, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 9 -2. Qualifications of electors. Any person who shall possess the qualifications requisite to an elector at general state elections, and shall have resided in the City of South Miami, sixty days next preceding any election, and shall have been registered in the registration book of the city shall be a qualified elector of the city."
