ORDINANCE 817ORDINANCE NO. 21- 74 -£17 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTIi MIAMI, FLORIDA, CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE ,CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A COUNCILMAN FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF COUNCILMAN EDWARD BRAMSON; DESIGNATING APRIL 9, 1974 AS THE DATE OF SAID ELECTION; DESIGNATING THE PLACE OF POLLING FOR SAID SPECIAL ELECTION; DESIGNATING 13 PERSONS AS INSPECTORS TO OPERATE VOTING MACHINES AND /OR ELECTION BOOKS AND A CLERK AT SAID ELECTION. WHEREAS, Edward Bramson has resigned as a member of the City Council of the City of South Miami„ and WHEREAS, the vacancy created has occured more than nine months prior to the South Miami General Election, and WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that under such circumstances the unexpired term shall be filled by a special election being held not less than 45 days nor more than 60 days after such vacancy occured. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That a special election is hereby called for April 9, 1974, for the purpose of electing one Councilman to serve for the unexpired term created by the resignation of Councilman Edward Bramson. Section 2. The polling place for said special municipal election shall be held at the Fire Station located in the Municipal.Building at 6130 Sunset Drive, South Miami, Florida. Section 5. That the following person, to- wit.. Willie Mae Robinson, Rudy Swartz, Mary Wdelts, Mary McGowah, Millie Case, Ruth Cullinan, mossie peck, jerrry Seiden, judl Tatum, *iorothy Swarbz, Catherine ware, jean ire, he, and they are hereby appointed as inspectors for the operation of voting machines and /or election books at the special election herein called, and Helen Brooke be, and she is hereby appointed Clerk, of Elections for said election, and said names are certified fo the Mayor of the City of South Miami PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of Apri 1 , 1974,.
