ORDINANCE 905ORDINANCE NO. 26 -76 -905 AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND LEVYING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF LEVYING TAXES IN THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI., FLORIDA, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1976 WHICH MILLAGE -RATE IS IN EXCESS OF THE CERTIFIED MILLAGE. WHEREAS, tax assessments for all of Dade County for the calendar year 1976 have been made by the Dade County Commission; and WHEREAS, the County Commission has determined the estimated total non- exempt aggregate valuation of taxable property in the City of South Miami, Florida`, for the calendar year 1977, to be $145,300,097.00. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.. That there shall be and hereby is levied . upon the nom - exempt aggregate assessed value of all property in the City of South Miami, Florida, a tax of 5.437 mills on the dollar for the calendar year 1976, for the benefit of operational expenses of the General Fund for the government of the City of South Miami, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1977. Section 2. That this ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption in the manner provided by law. PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September , 1976.
