AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SUBSECTION (b) OF
SECTION 11 -4, AND SUBSECTION '(b) O.F.
SECTION 11 -7, OF CHAPTER 1.1 OF' THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,
FLORIDA, BY EXCLUDING, :GRASS, HEDGE CLIPPINGS,
LEAVES, BI:ANCHESAND VINES FROM THE REQUIREMENT
OF BRING PLACED IN CONTAINERS, AND BY PROVIDING
THAT SAID ITEMS MAY BE PLACED AT THE CLM13 FOR THE
SCHEDULED PICT: UP, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ,MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Subsection (b) of Section 11 -4
of Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of South
Miami, Florida, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(b) Domestic Trash, other than grass, hedge
clippings, leaves, branches and vines
shall be placed in containers or 'bundled**
in lengths of four (4) feet or less and
weight of no more than fifty (50`) pounds.
Glass, sharp objects, chemicals and all
similar materials shall be well wrapped
and marked to prevent personal injury to
the collector."
of Chapter 11 of the Code of ordinances of the City of South
Miami, Florida, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding
the following paragraph at the end of said Subsection, to -wit:
Grass; hedge clippings, leaves, branches and
vines are not required to be containerized.
These items may be placed at the curb as
ekplained in section (c) below for special
mechanized pick -up on the scheduled pick
up day."
