Project management software tools such as NIS Project are frequently utilized monitor project schedules and assure projects are delivered in a timely manner. I 3. Control of Budget The key element in controlling the project budget from both an engineering and construction point of view is to provide very experienced support staff to produce the project. In addition, through on-going constructability reviews, issues regarding construction of the project will be brought up during the design phase. This is extremely valuable because it is less expensive to change a set of plans than have change orders and costly construction delays in the field. Another important control is effective utility coordination and location. The HBC Team will coordinate closely with the utility owners early in the design phase to ensure that all utility relocation schedules are in place and that utility impact and or adjust.. ent are clearly demonstrated in the plans. Moreover, the cost estimate for the proposed improvement will be tracked and submitted with each phase review submittal. 4. Quality Control Process Completeness Reviews - to assure compliance with the degree of completeness required for each phase. Quality Control Reviews ensure that all plans, specifications, estimates, etc. will be independently checked by senior-level professionals other than those preparing those documents. Con structability/Bidabi lity Reviews to provide sufficient information to project. bidders to allow them to prepare competitive proposals to construct the 13155 SW 134th Street, Suite 207, Miami, Florida 33186 (305) 232-7932 Phone (305) 2328-7933 Fax www.hbcengineeringco.com Letter of interest City of South Miami Section III - Supportive Information V Roadway Design Adebayo T.
