The City Charter requires that all contracts for goods and services in excess of $5,000 shall be approved by the City Commission. The City forecasts the expenditure up to $121, 100 to Florida Power and Light for the procurement of electric utility services for the fiscal year 2016/2017. $121,100 Account No.: 001.1710.519.4310 has a current balance of $121, 100. 1 RESOLUTION NO.: _________ _ 2 3 A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to expend an amount not to 4 exceed $121,100 for Florida Power and Light to cover the electrical invoicing 5 for City Facilities, during FY 2016/2017. 6 7 WHEREAS, the City Charter requires that all contracts for goods and services in excess of 8 $5,000 shall be approved by the City Commission; and 9 10 WHEREAS, the City forecasts the expenditure up to $121,100 to Florida Power and ~ight 11 for the procurement of electric utility services for the fiscal year 2016/2017; and 12 13 WHEREAS, the expenditure shall be charged to Public Works Building Maintenance - 14 Utilities 001.1710.519.4310, for $121,100 which has an account balance of $121,100 before this 15 request. 16 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY 18 OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: 19 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $121,100 21 for Florida Power and Light to cover the electrical invoicing for usage of all City Facilities citywide 22 for the fiscal year 2016/20171 charged to account number 001.1710.519.4310 Utilities -Electric 23 with a current balance of $121,100. 24 25 Section 2. Severability. If any section, clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is 26 for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, this holding 27 shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. 28 29 Section 3.
