The City's Parks and Recreation Department received a generous donation in the amount of $9,000 dollars from Volksblast, Inc., for the procurement of Science, Technology, Mathematics, and Engineering (STEM) classes for fiscal year 2016/2017. This donation will be used towards STEM program classes/activities and will incorporate topics often not included in school such as aerospace, chemical, civil, environmental, industrial, marine, mechanical, software engineering, and robotics. A vendor for such instruction shall be selected and procured. Subsequently, classes will be held at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center and operate October 2016 through September 2017. Section 2: If any section clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution.
