WHEREAS,VolksBlast,Inc.,a 501 (c)(3)non-profit organization,has submitted a Special Event Applicationforaclassiccar show event in downtown SouthMiamionSunday,February 12,2017;and WHEREAS,the applicant has completed the special event application,aswellas submitted the necessary notification/petition form signed by businesses that willbe affected by the requested street closure;and WHEREAS,theapplicanthaspaidthe City $660,whichincludes$60applicationfee,$100 administrative feeand $500 refundable security deposit;and WHEREAS,the City's costs and services are asfollow:Police Department ($2,920),PublicWorks ($1,092.07),Street ClosureandMOT($519),Parking Meters ($2,400),totally $6,931.07;and WHEREAS,the applicant is requesting the following fees to be waived:37 Parking meters inLot BbehindDr.Smood ($925),Street Closurefeeand MOT fee($519),totally $1,444;and WHEREAS,ifCity Commission approves said waiver of fees,the applicant willbe responsible for paying the Citya total of $5,487.07.
