Section 1 - Executive Summary_for CDADA BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Over the past 30 years, ADA has been providing consulting engineering, planning, design, and construction management services as either a prime consultant or in association with other professional consulting firms. Our clients have included municipalities; county, state and federal agencies; and the private sector. ADA’s success in delivering high-quality service to our clients is a direct result of a highly qualified staff of engineers, planners, technicians, construction managers, and administrators. ADA is a highly successful full-service minority engineering firm. Applying the latest design technology and information, our engineers combine proven principles and innovation in the execution of our projects, including the developing and updating stormwater management master plans of all levels of complexity. Our staff understands the critical importance of adopting an approach that fits each project individually, based on thorough knowledge of local standards, conditions, and permitting requirements and constraints. Table 1-1 on the following page highlights the specific capabilities of ADA’s key staff. ADA has also performed and is currently performing work on stormwater management master plan updated, stormwater master plan development, and drainage study projects similar in scope and magnitude to those projects anticipated under this contract. Table 1-2 on the following page highlights our key projects and the specific ADA staff that have participated on these projects. A detailed description of these projects are included in Section 3 (Experience and Performance). Due to ADA’s local experience and commitment to quality work, budget fulfillment and on-schedule performance, our management team has developed and maintained an excellent working relationship with all of our clients. This relationship has contributed to having over 80 percent of our workload being derived from repeat business. (SS) specializes in commercial and residential boundary surveys, elevation certificates, topographic surveys, construction layout surveys and specific purpose surveys. SS’ experienced and knowledgeable field crews insure accuracy and timeliness on every job, and their skilled drafting department delivers a clear and precise map on every survey. SS’ key services are highlighted below. (HRES), founded in 1988, specializes in geotechnical engineering and construction inspection. HRES provides geotechnical services that include subsurface explorations, foundation evaluations and recommendations, and pavement evaluations and recommendations. Its geotechnical expertise includes design, planning, execution of new geotechnical projects and the remedial procedures to correct foundation problems of existing structures, extensive involvement with axial and lateral pile analyses, slope stability evaluation on retaining walls and embankments using geo-grids. Other specialties include design of numerous retaining walls types such as mechanically stabilized earth, reinforced concrete, sheet pile cantilever and anchored walls. The firm has geotechnical drilling capabilities and an in-house laboratory for testing of soils. The drilling is performed with two truck mounted drill rigs, Central Mining Equipment, model CME-55 with an automatic hammer. HRES has 4-inch diameter rock coring wire line capabilities. HRES also provides construction materials testing inspection services including PDA Inspection, site preparation and foundation inspections.
