THE CITY OF PI.EASANT l..lVING
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI
OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER
MEMORANDUM
To: The Honorable Mayor & Members of the City Commission
FROM: Steven Alexander
DATE: February 2, 2016
SUBJECT: Managers Report
The shoot don't shoot educational exercise facilitated by the FDLE for
our commissioners was a huge success. The entire leadership of the
PBA came out to support our commissioners as they learned a small
bit about the various decision points that an officer has to make
every time they confront a potentially dangerous situation. The PBA
noted that they do not believe that our City Commission may be the
first time in history; an entire city commission has gone though this
process. We hope to make this very educational opportunity
available to some of our community leadership in the near future.
We have been working on the lot split revisions as well as the RFQ for
the land development code and the revision of the procedures for
the ERPB as has been discussed here previously.
The appraisers have been tasked with performing appraisals for two
of the parcels related to Madison square and we expect those
reports soon. Subsequent to receiving the reports we will begin
negotiations with the interested parties.
