Thank you for your letter dated December 18, 2009 requesting a best and final offer from Standard
Parking. Attached is the best and final offer from Standard Parking to the City of South Miami. As
detailed in our response to the RFQ, our best and final offer includes:
1. As determined by the selection committee, Standard Parking provides the most qualified team to
provide the parking management and maintenance services to the City of South Miami with
extensive multi -space technology expertise.
2. Standard Parking completely understands multi -space technology conversions including
installation and our ability to provide the City with a budget neutral alternative.
3. Standard Parking has established an excellent business relationship with the proposed equipment
provider (Digital Payment Technologies) and receives highly competitive pricing.
4. Standard Parking provides all full -time employees the following benefits (outlined in detail in our
response to the RFQ):
• Health and dental insurance
• minimum 2 week vacation
• six paid holidays and two personal floating holidays
• 401(K) or similar retirement plan
• life insurance
• longterm disability insurance
• paid sick leave
5. Our collection vehicle, which is included in our current pricing, will be equipped with:
• alarm system
• electronic vehicle tracking system (Lo -Jack, Tele -Trac, or equivalent)
• ignition kill and fuel shut -off
• steel bulk head
o interior iron /steel caged compartments to safely store collection canisters
6. In case of any downtime, Standard Parking will provide a fully equipped collection vehicle at no
additional cost to the City.
7. To better protect the City, our insurance program consists of the following:
o Worker's Compensation insurance in compliance with the Florida's Worker's Compensation
Act.
o Employer's liability insurance on all employees for the premises not covered by the Worker's
Compensation Act, for occupational accidents or disease, for limits of not less than
$1,000,000 for any one occurrence, or whatever is necessary to satisfy the requirements of the
umbrella liability insurance specified below.
• General Liability with a $2,000,000 limit for each occurrence.
• Automobile liability insurance with a combined single limit of $2,000,000.
• Comprehensive crime insurance including employee theft, premise, transit and depositor's
forgery coverage, with limits of liability as to any given occurrence of $50,000 for monies
and securities inside and outside the premises, and $1,000,000 on account of any employee
dishonesty.
• Umbrella liability insurance, in excess following form, with an annual aggregate limit of not
less than $25,000,000.
We feel confident that, after reviewing our pricing and coupled with our superior qualifications, you will
agree that Standard Parking is the most qualified company to provide the City of South Miami with our
