1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CAREFULLY STUDY'AND COMPARE THE REFLECTED CEILING PLANS
WITH THE ELECTRICAL LIGHTING PLANS, WITH THE MECHANICAL SUPPLY, RETURN AND
EXHAUST PLANS, AND WITH THE FIRE PROTECTION PLANS AND REPORT TO THE ARCHITECT
ANY ERROR, INCONSISTENCY OR OMISSION THAT HE MAY DISCOVER.
2. SPRINKLER HEADS ARE NOT INDICATED ON THE REFLECTED CEILING PLAN(S). THE
CONTRACATOR SHALL INSTALL SUFFICIENT HEADS IN ALL SPACES TO MPROVIDE (100 %)
AUTOMATIC COVERAGE AS DEFINED IN NFPA STANDARD 13 AND AS REQUIRED BU OWNERS
INSURANCE UNDERWRITER. REFER TO FIRE PROTECTION DRAWINGS FORM LOCATIONS OF
THE SPRINKLER HEADS.
3. THE CONTRACATOR SHALL VERIFY THAT ACCESS PANELS OF APPRORIATE SIZE ANAD TYPE
ARE INSTALLED IN GYPSUM BOARD CEILINGS OR SOFFITS, IN CEMENT PLASTER CEILINGS OR
SIFFITS, AND OTHER NON ACCESSIBLE TYPE CEILINGS OR SOFFETS WHERE ACCESS, SERVICE
OR ADJUSTMENT TO MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, OR ELECTYRICAL ITEMS MAY BE NEEDED.
ACCESS PANELS SHALL BE FIRE RATED TYPE EQUAL TO THE RATING OF THE CEILING OR
SOFFIT IN WHICH THEY OCCUR.
4. ONLY CEILING MOUNTED EXIT LIGHTS ARE SHOWN ON THE REFLECTED CEILING PLAN(S).
REFER TO ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR LOCATIONS OF WALL MOUNTED EXIT LIGHTS.
5. REFER TO ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR LOCATIONS OF CEILING MOUNTED SMOKE
DETECTORS, SPEAKERS, FIRE ALARM DEVICES, NURSE CALL DOME LIGHTS, ETC.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ADVISE THE OWNER AND TENANTS THAT AN 18' MINIMUM VERTICAL
CLEARANCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE EXTENDED SPRINKLER
HEADS AND THE TOP OF AN" FILES, SHELVING, LOCKERS, ETC. (WHETHER CONTRACATOR
FURNISHED OR OWNER FURNISHED). THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ADVISE ALSO ADVISE THE
OWNER AND TENANTS THAT ITEMS SHALL NOT REPLACED OR STORED ON TOP OF SUCH
SHELVING SO THAT THIS CODE REQUIRED 18' MINIMUM VERTICAL CLLARANCE WILL BE
MAINTAINED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PAINT 2' WIDE REDLINE ON THE WALLS OF ALL
STORAGE ROOMS WITH STENCILING NOTED "DO NOT STORE OR PLACE ANY ITEMS ABOVE THIS
LINE'.
7. WHERE EXISTING LAY -IN CEILINGS ARE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED, THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL TAKE CARE NOT TO DAMAGE EITHER THE GRID OR CEILING TILES. ANY DAMAGED TILES
OR GRID SHALL BE REPLACED WITH NEW MATERIALS. THESE MATERIALS SHALL MATCH THE
EXISTING IN AUNIFORM MAANNER FOR COLOR, TEXTURE, PAATTERN, ETC. IF UNIFORMITY CAN
NOT BE ACHIEVED; THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPLACE THE ENTIRE CEILING WITHIN THAT
SPACE WITH NEW MATERIAL. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE NEW MATERIAL AS
APPROVED BY BOTH THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ACCESS PANELS IN GYPSUM BOARD CEILINGS AND IN
HARD SURFACE SOFFITS SO THAT THE ARCHITECT AND THE STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS CAN
INSPECT RATED WALLS. THESE ACCESS PANELS SHALL BE LOCATED AT INTERVALS NOT TO
EXCEED 30' -0' ON CENTER, MINIMUM OF ONE PER SPACE, AND IN SUCH MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
AS NECESSARY TO VIEW ALL SURFACES OF THE RATED WALLS(S).
9. WHERE SUPPORT WIRES FOR ACOUSTICAL CEILING GRID CAN NOT BE INSTALLED VERTICALLY,
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE/INSTALL A UNISTRUCT TRAPEZE BENEATH THE
OBSTRUCTION (USUALLY DUCTS EXCEEDING 48' IN WIDTH) AS TO PERMIT WIRES TO BE
VERTICALLY ATTACHMENT TO THE UNISTRUT.
10. PROVIDE UNISTRUT TO COMPLY WITH THE OWNNER FURNISHED VENDOR DRAWINGS
