1. MEDICAL GAS ALARMS SHALL BE POWERED BY THE LIFE SAFETY
BRANCH OF THE EMERGENCY POWER SYSTEM PER NFPA 99.
2. ALL WIRING SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM PHYSICAL DAMAGE BY
RACEWAYS OR CONDUIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 70 NATIONAL
ELECTRICAL CODE.
3. WIRING RUNS SHOULD BE MADE WITH COLOR —CODED WIRE.
RECORD THE COLOR, SIGNAL OR SOURCE OF THE SIGNAL FOR EACH
WIRING LEAD TO AID CONNECTION OF THE ALARM FINISH COMPONENTS.
4. WHEN ROUTING WIRING INSIDE BOXES, PROTECT WIRE COVERING
FROM DAMAGE.
5. AVOID INSTALLING ALARMS NEAR RADIO TRANSMITTERS, ELECRICAL
MOTORS OR SWITCHGEAR.
6. COPPER WIRE SHALL NOT BE SMALLER THAN 22 AWG. CABLE MUST
BE TWISTED PAIR SHIELDED TYPE. MULTI —PAIR CABLES WITHIN ONE
COMMON SHIELD ARE ACCEPTABLE.
7. ALL ELECTRICAL DESIGN, POWER WIRING AND CONDUIT, SIGNAL
WIRING AND CONDUIT, AND TERMINATIONS SHALL BE BY THE
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.
