Red Road Commons
Scope of Work / Sequence of Operation
The fire alarm system at Red Road Commons is a networked fire alarm system
for buildings A, B, C, D, E & F. Building E shall be the main fire alarm panel with
a Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (DACT). Each building will have a
remote LCD fire alarm annunicator on the 16t floor at the main entry of each
building.
Buildings A, B 2nd C
Building "A" has an E3 Fire alarm panel which shall be networked back to
building "E ". This panel will cover building "B" and building "C ". Buildings A, B
and C are tied together due to a common corridor, starting on the 2nd floor thru
the 5th floor. Each of the building's devices shall be grouped /zoned together
through programming so that in the event of an alarm it can be identified from
which building the alarm is coming from, reporting the alarm or event to the main
panel in building "E "; This panel shall transmit a signal to the monitoring
company, clearly as to what building is in alarm (A, B or C). Since buildings A, B
and C share a common corridor and have exits into the parking garage, in the
event of alarm from A, B or C, all three buildings will go into alarm and also the
parking garage will be put into alarm.
Building D
Building "D" has an E3 Fire alarm panel which shall be networked back to
building "E ". In the event of an alarm in building "D ", only building "D" shall go
onto alarm and it will report it to building "E ", and transmit a signal to the
monitoring company, clearly as to building "D" is in alarm.
Building E
Building "E" has an E3 Fire alarm panel which shall be the main fire alarm panel,
this panel shall be networked with the panels in buildings A, D, and F: In the
event of an alarm in building "E ", only building "E" shall go onto alarm and
transmit a signal to the monitoring company, clearly as to building "E" is in alarm.
Building F
Building "F" has an E3 Fire alarm panel which shall be networked back to
building "E ". In the event of an alarm in building "F ", only building "F" shall go
onto alarm and it will report it to building "E ", and transmit a signal to the
monitoring company, clearly as to building "F" is in alarm.
Building G
Building "G" (parking garage) is a separate fire alarm system not being installed
by Power Design (PDI). PDI shall monitor the fire alarm panel in the parking
garage for an alarm, trouble and supervisory signals which shall be monitor be
the panel in building "E ". In the event of an alarm in building "G", Building A, B
and C will go into alarm, and the panel in building "E" shall transmit a signal to
the monitoring company reporting an alarm in building "G" parking garage.

5. DROP ALL POWER TO DOOR HOLD OPEN DEVICES.
Ci. DROP ALL POWER TO ACCESS CONTROLLED DOORS.
B. ALL FIRE ALARM SIGNALS ARE AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED IN AT CPU
AND REMOTE ANNUNCIATORS UNTIL ORIGINATING DEVICE IS
RETURNED TO NORMAL AND CPU IS MANUALLY RESET.
1. AUDIBLE ALARM SIGNAL SHALL BE SILENCEABLE FROM CPU
ALLOWING FOR RE- INITIATION FOLLOWING A SUBSEQUENT
ALARM. SILENCING OF ALARM SIGNALS SHALL NOT IMPAIR
THE ABILITY OF SYSTEM TO CONTINUE TO PERFORM AS
SPECIFIED.
2. ACTIVATION OF ANY TROUBLE OR SUPERVISORY SIGNAL
SHALL TRANSMIT SIGNAL TO LISTED CERTIFICATED CENTRAL

INITIATE ELEVATOR RECALL SEQUENCE PER ANSI /ASME -A17.1 FOR
ELEVATORS IN BANK SERVED BY ACTIVATED DETECTOR(S).
CONTROL RELAYS SHALL BE WIRED TO SEND SIGNALS
TO ASSOCIATED MAIN ELEVATOR CONTROLLER INDICATING THAT:
