13-376-008SITE INVESTIGATION NOTE SITE VISIT PRIOR TO BID EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE: THE BIDDER IS REQUIRED BEFORE SUBMITTING HIS /HER PROPOSAL, TO VISIT THE SITE AND FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF /HERSELF WITH THE NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK TO BE PERFORM ANY DEVIATIONS THAT MAY AFFECT THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED, SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE ARCHITECT /ENGINEER FOR CONSIDERATION, PRIOR TO SUBMITTING OF BID. VARIATIONS FROM CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ROUTING AND /OR CONSTRUCTIONS DEVIATIONS SHALL BE ANTICIPATED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO AVOID CONFLICTS WITH OTHER TRADES. AND TO NOTIFY ARCHITECT/ ENGINEERS IF ANY CONFLICT OCCUR PRIOR ITS INSTALLATION, NO ADDITIONAL COST TO OWNER CAN BE APPLIED. 2- THE COMPLETE SET OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS CONSISTS OF DRAWINGS, DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS. WHERE EXPOSED PIPES PASS THROUGH FLOORS, WALLS, OR CEILINGS, PROVIDE ESCUTCHEONS FIRMLY SECURED TO THE PIPES AND OF SUFFICIENT OUTSIDE DIAMETER TO COVER THE SLEEVED OPENINGS FOR THE PIPES. PROVIDE CHROMIUM PLATED ESCUTCHEONS IN BATHROOMS. 12. INSPECTIONS AND TESTS A. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO ASK FOR INSPECTIONS TO THE AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION, AS THE WORK PROGRESSES. ALL SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED BY CODE AND /OR LOCAL REGULATIONS. B. DRAINAGE PIPING: BEFORE INSTALLATION OF ANY DRAINS, THE ENDS OF SYSTEMS SHALL BE CAPPED AND ALL LINES FILLED WITH THE WATER TO THE HIGHEST POINT AND ALLOWED TO STAND UNTIL INSPECTION IS MADE BY AN OWNER REPRESENTATIVE. 13. STERILIZE ALL WATER LINES WITH A MIXTURE OF TWO (2) POUNDS OF CHLORINATED LIME TO EACH 1.000 GALLONS OF WATER C50 PPM OF AVAILABLE CHLORINE). RETAIN MIXTURE IN PIPES 24 HOURS AND FLUSH THOROUGHLY WITH POTABLE WATER BEFORE PLACING IN SERVICE. 14.
