GENERAL_ NOTES
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE PROTECTION OF MATERIALS DURING ALL PHASES OF
CONSTRUCT ION.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMMEDIATE CLEANING AND
REMOVAL OF ALL DEBRIS UNTIL THE PREMISES ARE ACCEPTED IN A CLEAN AND HABITABLE
CONDITION BY THE ARCHITECT /INTERIOR DESIGNER
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO VERIFY THAT ALL WORK OF ALL TRADES SHALL

CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS IN THE FIELD AND SHALL
IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCH. /DESIGNER OF ANY CONDITION THAT DIFFER OR INTERFERES
WITH THOSE SHOWN ON THIS PLAN BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH WORK. ALL DIMENSIONS
SUPERSEDE SCALED DRAWINGS. LIMITED TO INFERIOR WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIALS,
IMPROPER SCHEDULING OR DELINQUENT ORDERING SHALL BE BORNE BY PARTY
RESPONSIBLE.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR, HIS SUB - CONTRACTOR, OR ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR INVOLVED
IN THIS PROJECT SHALL TAKE NOTE THAT ANY COST CAUSED BY DEFECTIVE WORK, AS A
RESULT OF, BUT NOT ALL ITEMS DAMAGED WHILE IN DEMOLITION PHASE THAT ARE TO REMAIN
SHALL BE RESTORED OR REPLACED TO BE ACCEPTABLE BY THE ARCHITECT / INTERIOR
DESIGNER, AT THE CONTRACTORS EXPENSE.
ANY OTHER ITEMS OR MATERIALS ENCOUNTERED DURING THE DEMOLITION PHASE SHALL BE
REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO THE ARCHITECT / INTERIOR DESIGNER FOR EVALUATION.
DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE 2009 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE CHAPTER 33 AND COMPLY WITH ALL GOVERNING
REGULATIONS.
2. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO SURVEY THE CONDITION OF THE BUILDING TO DETERMINE WHETHER REMOVING ANY ELEMENT MIGHT RESLLT IN STRUCTURAL DEFICIENCY OR
UNPLANNED COLLAPSE OF ANY PORTION OF THE STRUCTURE OR ADJACENT STRUCTURES PRIOR DEMOLITION SCHEDULE. CONTRACTOR TO CONTACT ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY
PRIOR TO REMOVING ANY CONCRETE OR OTHER STRUCTURAL ITEM.
3. PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK, CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A MAINTENANCE OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC (M.O.T.) PLANS FOR OWNER / LANDLORD APPROVAL.
CONTRACTOR SHALL INDICATE ALL TEMPORARY WALLS REQUIRED, INTERMEDIATE SIGNAGE, AND M.O.T. INFORMATION.
4. COORDINATE ALL DEMOLTION WORK WITH ALL OTHERS TO INSURE WORK WILL PROGRESS WITHOUT INTERUPTION AND DELAYS. COORDINATE AND SCHEDULE THE WORK WITH
THE OWNER / LANDLORD WHERE POSSIBLE DISTURBANCE MAY OCCUR AND OTHER POTENTIAL DISRUPTIONS OF OWNERS FUNCTIONS AND SERVICES MAY OCCUR ALL WORK
AFFECTING OWNER'S FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING ACCOMPLISHING WORK, TO BE COMPLETED BY PHASING WITH OWNER'S APPROVAL.
5. ALL AREAS OUTSIDE OF INDICATED "SCOPE OF WORK" SHALL REMAIN UNDISTURBED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO FIELD CHECK AND VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF DEMOLITION, AND NOTIFY THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT IF
ANY DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND.
1. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO PROTECT ALL EXISTING FINISHES AND SURFACES THROUGHOUT SPACE WHICH ARE NOT PART OF DEMOLITION, INCLUDING ALL EXISTING ELEVATORS,
STAIRCASES, ENTRANCE LOBBIES, STORE FRONTS, AND SERVICE AREAS. THE CONTRACTOR WILL REPLACE OR REFINISH DAMAGED AREAS. PLACE PLYWOOD OR OTHER
PROTECTIVE COATING OVER GRANITE 4 FABRIC PANELS AT FLOORS AND WALLS IF DESIGNATED TO REMAIN.
8. DEMOLITION DRAWINGS AND NOTES ARE ONLY TO ASSIST IN SHOWING THE SCOPE OF DEMOLITION WORK AND IS NOT INTENDED TO INDICATE ALL DEMOLITION. CONTRACTOR
SHALL REMOVE ALL EXISTING ITEMS FOR A "BROOM CLEAN" SPACE.
9. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING FACILITIES AND SITE UTILITIES FROM DAMAGE.
10.CONTRACTOR IS TO REMOVE OR CAP MECHANICAL ITEMS WHICH ARE NOT TO BE REUSED INCLUDING WIRING, CONDUITS, PIPES, DUCTWORK, ETC.
11.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING A TRASH/DEBRIS REMOVAL SERVICE FOR REMOVAL OF ALL DEBRIS FOR ALL TRADES AND WALL WORK RELATING
TO THIS PROJECT. COORDINATE LOCATION OF DUMPSTER WITH OWNER
12.WIRING IS TO BE REMOVED BACK TO PANEL. WORK TO BE DONE BY AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO IDENTIFY ALL ELECTRICAL CONDUITS WHICH
WILL REMAIN FOR BUILDING SYSTEMS AND TAGGED TO REMAIN.
13.PERIMETER GLAZING TO REMAIN SHALL HAVE PRECAUTIONS TAKEN TO PROTECT MATERIALS DURING CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR WILL REPLACE ALL GLASS BROKEN
DURING DEMOLITION.
14-ALL LIGHTING FIXTURES ARE TO BE REMOVED AND STORED FOR POSSIBLE REUSE ON THE PROJECT UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
15.UPON COMPLETION OF DEMOLITION WORK, CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND DEMOLISHED MATERIALS FROM SITE. REMOVE PROTECTIONS, DEBRIS,
RUBBISH, AND OTHER MATERIALS RESULTING FROM DEMOLITION WORK FROM BUILDING SITE. TRANSPORT AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OF MATERIALS OFF -SITE.
