Install a complete new NOTIFIER NFS -320 addressable, power limited, Central Station Service fire alarm system. The system shall include required automatic smoke detection, heat detection, manual pull stations, horn strobe evacuation, two line DACT. and 24 hour standby batteries. 2. This system shall be a CENTRAL STATION SERVICE fire alarm system as per NFPA 72 chapter 8.2 (02). I The fire alarm service company shall provide Central Station Service monitoring, the FM PLACARD and Runner Service for this new CENTRAL STATION SERVICE fire alarm system. 4. The visual alarm signal appliances for this system are in compliance with FBC 11. 4.28.1, 2 & 3 (06). OCCUPANCY INFORMATION 1. This is an existing parking structure storage occupancy type NFPA 10142.8 (06). 2. This occupancy has 6 parking levels. 3. The approximate size of this occupancy is 300,000 sgft. 4. The occupancy has no air handlers over 2000 cfm that require duct smoke detectors. 5. This occupancy has no fire sprinkler system. 6. This occupancy has three oil hydraulic elevators. 7. This occupancy has no magnetic door locks that are required to de -energize when the fire alarm has activated general alann or the fire alarm losses ac power as per NFPA 72, 6.15.7.3. (02) SEQUENCE OF OPERATION 1. Upon the activation of a ceiling smoke detector, heat detector or manual pull station the FACP will activate general alarm tuming on all the audible / visual notification devices on all levels. The FACP and remote annunciator will display the device location, illuminate the alarm LED and turn on the local audible sounder. The two-line DACT will call the central station that will dispatch emergency forces. The listed fire alarm service- local company will dispatch a runner to the protected premises as per NFPA 72, 8.2.7.1.2. (02) 2. Upon the activation of the alarm silence switch at the FACP all audible / visual notification devices will turn off. Any new alarms detected after the notification devices have been silenced will reactivate the audible / visual devices on all levels. 3. The FACP will monitor the system for removed devices, open field wiring; grounds on system wiring, ac power failure, low battery voltage and phone line trouble. when a trouble condition is detected the FACP and remote annunciator will turn on the local audible sounder, display the trouble type and illuminate the trouble LED. The two -line DACT will call the central station that will verify the signal with the facility manager. The listed fine alarm service -local company will dispatch a runner to the protected premises as per NFPA 72, 8.2.7.1.2, (02) ELEVATOR SEQUENCE OF OPERATION 1. In addition to the sequence described below the FACP will activate general alarm turning on all the audible / visual notification devices on all levels. The FACP and remote annunciators will display the alarm location, illuminate the alarm LED and turn on the local audible sounder. The two-line DACT will call the central station that will dispatch emergency forces. The listed fire alarm service -local company will dispatch a runner to the protected premises as per NFPA 72, &2.7.1.2. (02) 2. Upon the activation of the level 1 elevator lobby heat detector the elevator cab will recall to the 2nd level (alternate). 3. Upon the activation of the level 2-6 heat detector the elevator cab will recall to the 1st level (primary). 4. Upon the activation of the elevator machine room smoke detector the elevator cab will recall to the 1st level (primary) and the fire righter helmet light will illuminate inside the cab. I. This is a complete new power limited addressable fire alarm system. 2. This is a central station service fire alarm system as per NFPA 72, 8.2 (02) with 24 hour standby batteries. 3. All ceiling type detectors shall be located at least 3' away from all AC diffusers and doors and a minimum of 1' from a side wall - 4. The manual pull stations shall be installed at 48" from the floor to center of the device and a maximum of 5' from the door frame. . 5. All wall mounted audible / visual notification devices shall be installed at 80 "above the finished floor to the bottom of device. all visual devices are synchronized. 6. All ceiling mounted audible / visual notification devices shall be installed in location shown in plans. 7 All monitor modules shall be installed within 3' of the points or equipment being monitored. 8. All relay modules used to initiate control of a fire safety function shall be installed within 3' of the controlled circuit or appliance. 9. The facility owner shall provide two dedicated phones lines to the FACP. 10. All equipment is compatible and FM / UL listed for fire alarm system use. 11.
