REMOVED. ALL REMAINING OPENINGS IN THE SLAB AND WALLS SHALL BE
FILLED IN BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE FIRE RATING OF THE EXISTING
STRUCTURE SHALL BE MAI NTAI NED.
REMOVE ALL MISCELLANEOUS FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT RETAINING ITEMS
TO BE IDENTIFIED FOR SALVAGE AND STORAGE AT THE DIRECTION OF
THE OWNER.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING
DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY AND
OPERATION OF EXISTING LIFE SAFETY & EMERGENCY EGRESS EQUIPMENT.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING
DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION TO MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ALL MEANS
OF EGRESS CORRIDORS. DOORWAYS AND STAIRS.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING
DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION TO PERMIT EFFECTED AREAS TO
CONTINUE TO FUNCTION TO THE GREATEST EXTENT POSSIBLE. THIS
EFFORT SHALL INCLUDE SCHEDULED COORDINATION WITH OWNER OF
ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWNS.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF ALL
FLUORESCENT AND HID TYPE LAMPS AND PROPER DISPOSAL OF SAID
LAMPS AND SHALL PROVI DE VERI FI CATI ON OF LAMP DI SPOSAL TO THE
OWNER UPON REQUEST.
ALL CONDUIT, JUNCTION BOXES AND WIRING DEVICES THAT ARE NOT
INTENDED TO RE -USED MUST BE DEMOLISHED BACK TO THE SOURCE.
PROVIDE PANEL SCHEDULES. TO THE ENGINEER, INDICATING THE
CIRCUITS MADE SPARE BY DEMOLITION AND THE EXISTING CIRCUITS
THAT REMAIN ACTIVE.
IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (CM) .
GENERAL CONTRACTOR (GC). AND THE SUB - CONTRACTORS (SC) TO STUDY
ALL THE DRAWINGS AND DETAILS SO THAT THE INSTALLATION OF ALL
NEW WORK CAN BE FULLY COORDINATED. THE CM. GC, AND SC SHALL
VISIT THE SITE, INCLUDING DOI NG AN ABOVE CEILING INSPECTION.
DURING BIDDING TO SATISFY HIM /HER SELF THAT ALL PROVISIONS HAVE
BEEN MADE FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THIS PROJECT. IF DISCREPANCIES
EXIST BETWEEN DRAWINGS AND /OR SITE CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL NOTIFY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IN WRITING PRIOR TO BID DUE
DATE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON A BASIS FOR
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION TO CORRECT A DIFFICULTY OR DIFFERENCE
FROM CONDITIONS INFERRED OR INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS.
DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND DO NOT INDICATE ALL DEVICES
TO BE DEMOLISHED. CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT JOB SITE PRIOR
TO BID TO FIELD CONFIRM ALL REQUIREMENTS.
CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPORT ALL EXISTING CONDUITS AND LOW VOLTAGE
WIRING PASSING THRU OR SERVING THE AREA THAT ARE TO REMAIN WHICH
ARE NOT PROPERLY SUPPORTED AS REQUIRED BY THE SPECIFICATIONS.
INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES:
A. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN FROM THE OWNER A COPY OF THE
INFECTION CONTROL RISK ASSESSMENT (ICRA) PREPARED FOR THIS
PROJECT. CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW THE REQUIREMENTS IN
THE REPORT AND PERFORM ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THOSE REQUIREMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL STRICTLY ADHERE
TO THE LIMITS OF THE CONSTRUCTION AREA, AND WHERE
PHASING APPLIES SHALL ADHERE TO THE PHASING PLAN.
ANY WORK OUTSIDE THE CONSTRUCTION AREA SHALL BE
COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER AND PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE ICRA REPORT, UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE
OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE OR OTHER DESIGNATED ICRA
COMMITTEE OFFICER.
B- TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS REQUIRED BY THE ICRA, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL ENDEAVOR TO MAINTAIN EXISTING LEVELS
OF INDOOR AIR QUALITY IN AREAS SURROUNDING AND ADJACENT
TO THE CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONE, AND ELSEWHERE IN THE
FACILITY. IT SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED THAT THE ICRA
REPORT WILL REQUIRE MEASURES TO THIS EFFECT INCLUDING
ERECTION OF CONSTRUCTION ZONE BARRIERS AND PROVISION
