GENERAL ENGINEERING NOTES:
1. Any layout drawing furnished by PERT to customer are provided as a service to conceptually illustrate the assembly of PERI products
only. Because PERT does not control jobsite assembly or procedures, grade or quality of materials or equipment suppled by othem it is
the responsibility of customer to integrate PERT drawings Into composite drawings suitably complete for construction purposes consistent
with safe practice and overall project objectives.
2. These drawings are based on information fumished to PER[ by the customer. The goods shown on these drawings may be used in
jurisdictions having local codes with which PERI is not familiar. Accordingly, these drawings are intended to illustrate a proper manner of
use of the goods ordered by the customer under the circumstances specified by the customer, but bears no responsibility for the actual
erection or use of the goods by the customer or any other person, and the customer agrees to idemnify and hold PERI harmless with
respect to any claim or loss arising in connection with the negligence of the erection, maintenance or use of the goods by the customer or
any other person during the time that the goods are leased to or used by the customer.
3. The customer bears the sole responsibility for ensuring that any erection or use of the goods shown on these drawings conforms to all
laws, ordinances and local codes and for checking the accuracy of field details and dimensions.
4. PER[ does not provide all items illustrated on these drawings. Those items not suppled by PERT should be erected according to
drawings furnished by their manufacturer or supplier. The final responsibility for design and placement of these items remains with the
user.
5. The PERI Engineering Department must be consulted before equipment is erected In a manner other than as shown on these
drawings. Only the Engineering Department is authorized to make changes on these drawings.
6. All job bulkheads and filers are illustrations only. Contractor is responsible for the fabrication, placement, and structural integrity of each
item.
7. Unless proposal states otherwise, PER! does not furnish wood for scaffolds and handrails as a part of the forming system quotation.
These items are quoted separately.
TIMBER AND PLYWOOD NOTES:
8. Plywood design is based on American Plywood Association technical data (Plywood for Concrete Fomuing Brochure v345 -773), grain
of face piles are perpendicular to the supports. Plywood continuous over two or more spans. Values are for Finnform 34" subject to
wetting from concrete and deflection Imited to 11270.
9. Timber calculation and design criteria are based on dressed sizes conforming to the American softwood timber standards, voluntary
product standard 20-70 United States Department of Commerce National Bureau of Standards and National Design specification -1968
edition revised November, 1970. Moisture content assumed not to exceed 19 %. The timber falsework details shown are suggestions and
are based on the following minimum design value. Properties are for Douglas Fir-Larch No.1 stress g aided 1500' size classified 2" to 4"
thick by 6" and wider or equivalent with a 25% increase for short duration loading.

SHORING SYSTEM DESIGN CRITERIA
This shoring Is designed to carry: The dead weight of the wet concrete, plus 50 psf construction live bad, pity
10 psf formwork dead load, AND NOTHI NG ELSE, Including the stocking of construction materials or
equipment on ANY slab engaged by the shoring. Refer to ACI 347 Manual SP4 for guidelines
The maximum calculated shoring leg bad is ®Ibs.
PERI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SHORING SYSTEM IF THE CONTRACTOR
EXCEEDS THE DESIGN CRITERIA.
