DE51614 ENGINEERING UNLESS IT HA5 BEEN COORDINATED, DRAWN AND SUBMITTED
FOR APPROVAL.
21. CONTRACTOR 15 RESPONSIBLE FOR RELOCATING ALL EXI5TI% SANITARY,
STORM, CONDENSATE, MEDICAL GAS AND WATER PIPING TO FACILITATE THE
INSTALLATION OF NEW ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL AND FIRE PROTECTION
5Y5TEM5 AND VENDOR EQUIPMENT. THIS INCLUDES ALL CEILING SPACES,
5HAFT5, WALLS, ETC.
22. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL 0156IPLINE5 INVOLVED AND
EXISTING CONDITIONS ABOVE CEILINGS 50 AS TO AVOID ANY PIPE ROUTING
PROBLEM5. PROVIDE OFF5ET5 AND FITTIN65 AS REQUIRED.
23. WARRANTY /GUARANTEE
A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WARRANTY /60ARANTEE AND MAINTAIN THE STABILITY
OF WORK AND MATERIALS AND KEEP SAME IN PERFECT REPAIR AND CONDITION
FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.
B. DEFECTS OF ANY KIND DUE TO FAULTY WORK OR MATERIALS, APPEARING
DURING THE ABOVE MENTIONED PERIOD, MUST BE IMMEDIATELY REPAIRED BY
THE CONTRACTOR AT H15 OWN EXPENSE TO THE ENTIRE SAT15FACTION OF THE
OWNER AND ARCHITECT. SUCH RECONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS SHALL INCLUDE
DAMA6E TO THE FIN15H OR FURNISHING OF THE BUILDING RESULTING FROM THE
ORI6INAL DEFECT OR REPAIR THERETO.
24. PIPING SHALL NOT BE RUN OVER ANY ELECTRICAL AND PHONE PANEL5.
25• 5ERVICE5 TO BE REMOVED SHALL BE CAPPED AND PLUGGED, WHERE
INDICATED ON DRAWING.
26. CONTINUITY OF SERVICE: INTERRUPTIONS OF EXISTING SERVICES
OR FA ILITIE5 SHALL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM AND THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNI5H ALL MATERIALS AND LABOR
REQUIRED WHENEVER TEMPORARY CONNECTIONS ARE NECE55ARY
TO MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF SERVICE. INTERRUPTION5 OF THE
EXI5TI% SERVICES, THE INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY FACILITIES,
AND THE WORK OF MAKING FINAL CONNECTIONS TO NEW WORK
SHALL BE DONE ONLY AT SUCH TIMES AS PERMITTED AND SCHEDULED
BY THE OWNER. ALL 5" CONNECTIONS AND TIE -IN5 SHALL BE
COORDINATED THROUGH THE OWNERS PROJECT MANAGER.
I. THE DURATION OF EACH 5HUTOOWN SHALL BE LIMITED TO N16HT5 AND /OR
WEEKENDS WITH THE TIME FRAME FOR 5HUTDOWN5 AS SPECIFIED BY THE
OWNER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER IN WRITING FORTY -EIGHT
(45) HOURS IN ADVANCE OF EACH REQUIRED INTERRUPTION
OF EXISTING SERVICE.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INCLUDE IN BID PRICE ALL PREMIUM TIME
CHARGES FOR LABOR AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL NIGHT AND
WEEKEND OVERTIME WORK, AS NECESSARY, TO COMPLETE THE SCOPE
OF THE CONTRACT.
3l. ALL FLOOR DRAINS AND FLOOR SINKS SHALL HAVE 0' COLD WATER RESEAL.
INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN FROM THE OWNER A COPY OF THE INFECTION CONTROL
R15K ASSESSMENT (10" PREPARED FOR TH15 PROJECT. CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW
THE REQUIREMENTS IN THE REPORT AND PERFORM ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH
TH05E REQUIREMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL 5TRICTLY ADHERE TO THE LIMITS OF
THE CONSTRUCTION AREA, AND WHERE PHASING APPLIES SHALL ADHERE TO THE
PHASING PLAN. ANY WORK OUT5IDE THE CON5TRUCTION AREA SHALL BE COORDINATED
WITH THE OWNER AND PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REPORT, UNDER
THE SUPERVISION OF THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE OR OTHER DESIGNATED ICRA
COMMITTEE OFFICER.
2.TO THE EXTENT THAT IT 15 REQUIRED BY THE ICRA, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
ENDEAVOR TO MAINTAIN EXI5TIN6 LEVELS OF INDOOR AIR QUALITY IN AREAS
5URROUNDING AND ADJACENT TO THE CON5TRUCTION WORK ZONE, AND ELSEWHERE
IN THE FACILITY. IT 5HOULD BE ANTICIPATED THAT THE ICRA REPORT WILL REQUIRE
MEASURES TO THIS EFFECT INCLUDING ERECTION OF CONSTRUCTION ZONE BARRIERS
AND PROVISION OF NEGATIVE AIR PRE99JRE IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE RELATIVE
TO OTHER AREAS OF THE FACILITY.
3.IN ADDITION TO THE MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ICRA REPORT, THE
CONTRACTOR AT A MINIMUM SHALL PROVIDE EQUIPMENTAND COMPONENTS
NECE55ARY TO CREATE A NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN THE CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONE
RELATIVE TO ADJACENT AREA. EXISTING HVAG 5Y5TEM5 AND COMPONENTS SHALL
NOT BE U5ED FOR TH15 FUNCTION, UNLE55 SPECIFICALLY APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S
INFECTION CONTROL OFFICER. THE CONCEPT AND ALL ASPECTS OF THIS WORK SHALL
BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REQUIREMENTS AND AT A MINIMUM AS
FOLLOWS:
VERIFY ALL EXI5TIN6 PLUMBING WHICH PASSES, THROUGH THE
CONSTRUCTION ZONE, AND 15 TO REMAIN, 15 SEALED AND PROTECTED
DURING THE CON5TRUCTION DURATION.
AIR REMOVED FROM THE CON5TXTION ZONE SHALL BE FILTERED AND /OR
DISCHARGED AS DIRECTED BY THE ICRA REPORT.
PRESENT THE NEGATIVE AIR PRE55URE PLAN TO THE OWNER FOR APPROVAL
BY THE INFECTION CONTROL COMMITTEE.
PROVIDE MEANS TO MONITOR AND VERIFY NEGATIVE PRESSURE 15 BEIN6
MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REPORT, AND PROVIDE
