PROCEED TO DISCONNECT THE EXISTING PERMANENT SOURCE CONNECTIONS TO THE EXISTING ATS AND EXISTING LOAD DURING A COORDINATED SHUT -DOWN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SPLICE THE LOAD SIDE OF THE NEW ATS TO THE PERMANENT LINE SIDE CONNECTION OF THE LOAD IT WILL SERVE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCK -OUT /TAG -OUT THE OVER CURRENT PROTECTIVE DEVICE SERVING THE EMERGENCY BRANCH OF THE EXISTING ATS. IF REQUIRED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SPLICE THE EXISTING EMERGENCY SERVICE CONDUCTORS IN THE EXISTING SUBFLOOR TO FEED THE NEW ATS CONCURRENTLY WITH THE OLD ATS. UPON COMPLETION OF THE WORK THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE LOCK -OUT /TAG -OUT FROM OVER CURRENT PROTECTIVE DEVICE SERVING THE EMERGENCY BRANCH OF THE ATS's. DURING A SCHEDULED OPERATION OF THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR, CONTRACTOR SHALL SWITCH THE EXISTING ATS FROM THE PREFERRED SOURCE (NORMAL POWER) TO THE EMERGENCY SOURCE (GENERATOR POWER).
