GENERAL HVAC EXISTING NOTES:
THE DEMOLITION PLAN IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE THE CONTRACTOR WITH A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE EXISTING
CONDITIONS WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA. EXISTING EQUIPMENT, STRUCTURE, DUCTWORK, ETC. LOCATED ON DRAWING WERE
DERIVED FROM EXISTING DRAWINGS AND LIMITED FIELD OBSERVATIONS. THIS DRAWING MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE OF
SERVICES THAT EXIST IN THE PROJECT AREA. CONTRACTOR SHALL. VERIFY SERVICES AND LOCATIONS PRIOR TO ANY
WORK. ANY DEVIATIONS IMPACTING WORK SHOWN ON THESE DOCUMENTS SHALL. BE REPORTED TO THE
ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK. BEGINNING OF WORK SHALL SIGNIFY CONTRACTORS
ACCEPTANCE OF EXISTING CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REQUIRED WORK WHETHER
SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM A PRE-BID SURVEY TO FIELD - VERIFY AND COORDINATE ALL DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO
PROCUREMENT OR FABRICATION. FIELD CONDITIONS SHALL GOVERN. COORDINATE THE WORK WITH OTHER TRADES
INVOLVED. COORDINATE NEW WORK WITH EXISTING ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE BUILDING STRUCTURE AND ARCHITECTURAL
FEATURES, SPRINKLER PIPING, LIGHTS, PLUMBING, AND ELECTRICAL CONDUIT. COST OF REROUTING DUCTWORK OR PIPING
DUE TO CONFLICTS WITH EXISTING CONDITIONS SHALL BE PAID BY CONTRACTOR.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE MECHANICAL WORK FOR PHASING AS REQUIRED OR DIRECTED BY THE ARCHITECT, REFER TO
ARCHITECTURAL PHASING PLAN. TEMPORARY MECHANICAL SERVICES SHALL BE PROVIDED WHEN NEW WORK AFFECTS
SERVICES NEEDING TO REMAIN ACTIVE. COORDINATE SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS WITH OWNER AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN
ADVANCE.
6. ALL EQUIPMENT REMOVED UNDER THIS PROJECT SHALL TURNED OVER TO THE OWNER AT THE OWNERS DISCRETION
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE OR RELOCATE EXISTING THERMOSTATS WHERE NECESSARY. REMOVED THERMOSTATS SHALL. BE
RETURNED TO OWNER.
3. ALL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS SERVING OTHER SPACES OR FLOORS THAT RUN THROUGH THE PROJECT AREA SHALL REMAIN
ACTIVE DURING CONSTRUCTION SO AS NOT TO CAUSE ANY DISRUPTION TO THESE OTHER SPACES.
4. PROVIDE PRECONSTRUCTION TEST do BALANCE FOR SUPPLY AND EXHAUST OF EXISTING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SERVING PROJECT AREA. INCLUDE FLOW
AND STATIC PRESSURE IN MAIN DUCTS, FAN STATIC PRESSURE, MOTOR HP AND FLA, PRESSURE DROP ACROSS AHU COILS AND FILTERS, CHILLED WATER FLOW
AND PRESSURE AT AHU.
HVAC KEY NOTES:
PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HEPA FILTERED NEGATIVE AIR FAN FOR CONSTRUCTION
AREA. MAINTAIN A 0.05' NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN THIS AREA RELATIVE TO THE
ADJACENT SPACES. PROVIDE ADDITIONAL NEGATIVE AIR MACHINES AS REQUIRED
TO ACHIEVE MINIMUM NEGATIVE PRESSURE. PROVIDE TEMPORARY DUST BARRIER
PARTITIONS.TEMPORARILY REDUCE SUPPLY CFM TO MAINTAIN 0.05' NEGATIVE
PRESSURE. ROUTE TEMPORARY 120 FLEXIBLE DUCT FROM DISCHARGE OF HEPA
UNIT TO OUTSIDE OF TEMPORARY BARRIER. LOCATE EXHAUST FAN DISCHARGE
MINIMUM 25 -0' FROM OPERABLE WINDOWS AND OUTSIDE AIR INTAKES.
FAN CRITERIA:
MANUFACTURER — HEPA —AIRE, MODEL -1800
PAS VARIABLE CFM — 1000 TO 1800 CFM
ELECTRICAL: 115 VOLTS, 10 FLA
PROVIDE AN INCLINED MANOMETER, DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE TYPE, WITH WHITE
FACE GAUGE AND BLACK LETTERS. THIS SHALL BE USED BY THE
CONTRACTOR TO RECORD, ON A DAILY BASIS, THE NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN
THE RENOVATION AREA RELATIVE TO THE ADJACENT SPACES.
