09-720-007HVAC GENERAL NOTES 1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF HVAC SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE DRAWINGS. - FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 2007 - ANS /ASHRAE 15 -1994 - NFPA PAMPHLETS 90A, 9OB-91 -2002 - SMACNA -1995 - ASHRAE -2001 - OSHA -2005 2. THE WORK INCLUDES PROVIDING THE HVAC SYSTEMS, INCLUDING DUCTWORK, DIFFUSERS AND GRILLES, INSULATION, CONTROLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR A COMPLETE FUNCTIONING SYSTEM. HVAC SYSTEM INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: SUPPLY, RETURN AND EXHAUST DUCTWORK SYSTEMS WITH GRILLES, DIFFUSERS FILTERS AND DAMPERS. 3. TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM INCLUDING LOW VOLTAGE WIRING AND CONDUIT, TRANSDUCERS, ACTUATORS, CONTROLLER. 4. LOCATIONS FOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS APPROXIMATE IN NATURE AND SHALL NOT BE SCALED FROM THE DRAWINGS. COORDINATE EXACT LOCATIONS WITH ROOM FURNITURE LAYOUT AND CONFIRM PROPOSED LOCATION WITH THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO ROUGH -IN. 5. WARRANTY: PROVIDE LABOR AND MATERIALS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS AND MATERIALS AS REQUIRED FOR ONE YEAR AFTER SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION OR OWNER ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPLETED PROJECT. 6. DRAWINGS FOR HVAC WORK ARE DIAGRAMMATIC, SHOWING THE GENERAL LOCATION, TYPE, LAYOUT AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED. THE DRAWINGS SHALL NOT BE SCALED FOR EXACT MEASUREMENTS. REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S STANDARD INSTALLATION DRAWINGS FOR EQUIPMENT CONNECTIONS AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS AS REQUIRED. FURNISH AND INSTALL ALL DUCTWORK, CONNECTIONS, ACCESSORIES, OFFSETS AND MATERIALS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE THE SYSTEM FUNCTIONING AS INDICATED BY THE DESIGN AND THE EQUIPMENT INDICATED. 7, CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH ALL TRADES, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LOCATION OF STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, PIPING, SPRINKLERS, CONDUITS AND LIGHTING OUTLETS AND /OR FIXTURES. 8. ALL MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENTS SHALL BE NEW OF U.S. MANUFACTURER AND OF GOOD QUALITY OF RESPECTIVE KIND AND GRADE, AND MUST BE FURNISHED SO AS TO PREVENT ANY DELAY IN THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK. ALL WORK THROUGHOUT SHALL BE PERFORMED IN A WORKMANLIKE MANNER BY SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF SKILLED PERSONNEL. 9. ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW, FREE FROM DEFECTS AND WITH MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. 10, REFRIGERANT PIPING SHALL BE COPPER TYPE L HARD DRAWN (ASTM -B -88) WITH WROUGHT COPPER, SOLDER JOINT TYPE FITTINGS. USE 9515 SOLDER. REFRIGERANT PIPING SHALL BE SIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EQUIVALENT PIPE LENGTH FOR PRESSURE DROP EQUIVALENT TO ONE DEGREE FAHRENHEIT. 1" FOAMED PLASTIC INSULATION SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR SUCTION LINES WITH APPROVED PROTECTIVE FINISH WHEN EXPOSED TO WEATHER AND WHEN INSTALLED IN RETURN AIR PLENUMS. FILTER/DRYER AND SIGHTGLASS SHALL BE PROVIDED AT LIQUID LINES. It ALL ROOF EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION MUST MEET MINIMUM OF 146 MPH WIND LOADING, MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE HEREBY INDICATED, HOWEVER BASED ON ACTUAL EQUIPMENT INSTALLED EPA (EFFECTIVE PROJECTED AREA) ADDITIONAL SECURING SHALL BE PROVIDED. 12. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO TEST & BALANCE THE HVAC SYSTEMS AS PER ASSOCIATED AIR BALANCE COUNCIL STANDARDS. 13. CONDENSATE LINES SHALL BE INSULATED WITH 3/4 INCH FOAMED PLASTIC. INSULATION SHALL BE WITH FLAME SPREAD 25, SMOKE SPREAD UNDER 50. 14. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS TO ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL OF ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND LAYOUTS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. 15. CONTRACTOR SHALL PRINT UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR OWNER'S OPERATION OF SYSTEMS - 16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY ALL INSPECTION FEES, ALL COSTS OF PERMITS AND ALL OTHER COSTS INCIDENTAL TO THE COMPLETION AND TESTING OF THIS WORK UPON FINAL ACCEPTANCE A CERTIFICATE FROM THE LOCAL INSPECTION AUTHORITY SHALL BE FURNISHED TO THE OWNER, 17. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A COMPLETE SET OF CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND REVIEW TO ENSURE ALL ITEMS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS ARE INCLUDED IN HIS BASE BID.
