PLUMBING INSTALLATION OF ALL FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT, AND PIPING SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE STATE, LOCAL AND HEALTH CODES REQUIREMENTS. 2. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ELEVATIONS, SIZES AND LOCATIONS OF EXISTING PLUMBING AND MEDICAL GAS PRIOR TO BIDDING. IF DISCREPENCIES ARE FOUND, THEY ARE TO NOTIFY ENGINEER. 3. COORDINATE EXACT REQUIRED PLUMBING ROUGH -INS WITH VENDOR SUPPLIER DRAWINGS. 7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL PLUMBING PIPING IN LOCATIONS INDICATED ON THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. THE ONLY DEVIATION FROM THIS WOULD BE IF ADDITIONAL OFFSETS ARE REQUIRED TO COORDINATE WITH OTHER TRADES. IF THE THE CONTRACTOR DESIRES TO CHANGE THE PLUMBING ROUTING FOR ANY OTHER REASON, HE SHALL COMPENSATE THE ENGINEER AT A RATE OF DPE x 2.75 TO REVISE THE PLUMBING DRAWINGS, RISER DIAGRAMS AND FOR THE TIME INVOLVED IN REISSUING DRAWINGS TO THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT ENGINEER FOR ESTIMATED TIME REQUIRED AND SCHEDULE FOR PERFORMING WORK. 8. REPAIR /REPLACE EXISTING VALVES WHICH DO NOT HOLD WHEREVER NEW PIPING IS CONNECTED TO EXISTING PIPING, AND THE EXISTING VALVES ARE TO BE REUSED. 9. SEAL PENETRATIONS OF FIRE RATED WALLS AND FLOORS IN ACCORDANCE WITH U.L. FIRE RESISTANCE INDEX FOR THROUGH PENETRATION FIRE STOP SYSTEMS. COORDINATE REQUIREMENTS WITH ARCHITECTURAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. 10. CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL SHOCK ABSORBERS ON ALL LINES SERVING QUICK CLOSING VALVES AND AS INDICATED ON PLUMBING PLANS AND RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. 11. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL DISCIPLINES INVOLVED SO AS TO AVOID ANY PIPE ROUTING PROBLEMS. 12. PROVIDE OFFSETS AND FITTINGS AS REQUIRED. 13. CHANGES IN THE DIRECTION OF SANITARY PIPING SHALL NOT BE MADE WITH FITTINGS WHICH WILL CAUSE EXCESSIVE REDUCTION IN THE VELOCITY OF FLOW OR CREATE ANY OTHER ADVERSE EFFECT UNLESS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE OE: USE OF SANITARY TEE IN A HORIZONTAL CONNECTION, USE OF A DOUBLE SANITARY TEE IN A VERTICAL STACK, IN GENERAL, USE OF SHORT- RADIUS FITTING FOR BRANCH TO HOUSE DRAIN OR STACK CONNECTION). 14. THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL BASE HIS PROPOSAL UPON THE EQUIPMENT AS SCHEDULED OR SPECIFIED, USING THE MANUFACTURERS AND MODEL NUMBERS AS CALLED FOR IN THE SPECIFICATIONS AND SCHEDULED ON THE DRAWINGS. IF MORE THAN ONE MANUFACTURER OF EQUIPMENT IS SPECIFIED, ANY ONE OF THE MANUFACTURERS OF EQUIPMENT MAY BE USED IN THIS CONTRACTOR'S PROPOSAL. IF THIS CONTRACTOR WISHES TO USE EQUIPMENT NOT SPECIFIED HE MUST, AT THE TIME OF BIDDING, SUBMIT SEPARATELY ON LETTERHEAD STATIONARY OF THE BIDDER, THE EQUIPMENT HE WOULD SUBSTITUTE AND THE COST TO BE ADDED OR TO BE DEDUCTED FROM HIS PROPOSAL. 15. THE CONTRACTOR IS EXPECTED TO ORDER ALL MATERIALS IN SUFFICIENT TIME TO AVOID DELAYING THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. DELAY IN DELIVERIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED A JUSTIFIABLE REASON FOR SUBMISSION OF SUBSTITUTE MATERIALS. 16. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RELOCATING ALL EXISTING SANITARY, STORM, CONDENSATE, MEDICAL GAS AND WATER PIPING TO FACILITATE THE INSTALLATION OF NEW ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. THIS INCLUDES ALL CEILING SPACES, SHAFTS, WALLS, ETC. 17. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL DISCIPLINES INVOLVED AND EXISTING CONDITIONS ABOVE CEILINGS SO AS TO AVOID ANY PIPE ROUTING PROBLEMS. 18. WARRANTY /GUARANTEE A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WARRANTY /GUARANTEE AND MAINTAIN THE STABILITY OF WORK AND MATERIALS AND KEEP SAME IN PERFECT REPAIR AND CONDITION FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR. B. DEFECTS OF ANY KIND DUE TO FAULTY WORK OR MATERIALS, APPEARING DURING THE ABOVE MENTIONED PERIOD, MUST BE IMMEDIATELY REPAIRED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS OWN EXPENSE TO THE ENTIRE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER AND ENGINEER. SUCH RECONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS SHALL INCLUDE DAMAGE TO THE FINISH OR FURNISHING OF THE BUILDING RESULTING FROM THE ORIGINAL DEFECT OR REPAIR THERETO. 19. PIPING SHALL NOT BE RUN OVER ANY ELECTRICAL AND PHONE PANELS. REROUTE PIPING AS REQUIRED. 20. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL LOW VOLTAGE WIRING AND CONDUIT FOR SENSOR OPERATED FIXTURES. COORDINATE WITH DIVISION 16. 21. THE PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP A SET OF MARKED UP DRAWINGS AS THE JOB PROGRESSES. NO MAJOR CHANGE SHALL BE MADE TO PLUMBING DESIGN ENGINEERING UNLESS IT HAS BEEN COORDINATED, DRAWN AND SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL. 22. ENGINEERING SERVICES TO BE REMOVED ! SHALL BE CAPPED AND PLUGGED. 23. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES TO EXISTING PIPING AND FIXTURES DUE TO NEW CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL RESTORE EXISTING WORK DISTURBED TO IT'S ORIGINAL CONDITION AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. 24. CONTINUITY OF SERVICE: INTERRUPTIONS OF EXISTING SERVICES OR FACILITIES SHALL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM AND THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIALS AND LABOR REQUIRED WHENEVER TEMPORARY CONNECTIONS ARE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF SERVICE. INTERRUPTIONS OF THE EXISTING SERVICES, THE INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY FACILITIES, AND THE WORK OF MAKING FINAL CONNECTIONS TO NEW WORK SHALL BE DONE ONLY AT SUCH TIMES AS PERMITTED AND SCHEDULED BY THE OWNER. ALL SUCH CONNECTIONS' AND TIE -INS SHALL BE COORDINATED THROUGH THE OWNERS PROJECT MANAGER. I. EXISTING HVAC SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS SHALL NOT BE USED FOR THIS FUNCTION, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S INFECTION CONTROL OFFICER. THE CONCEPT AND ALL ASPECTS OF THIS WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REQUIREMENTS AND AT A MINIMUM AS FOLLOWS: VERIFY ALL EXISTING PLUMBING WHICH PASSES THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE, AND IS TO REMAIN, IS SEALED AND PROTECTED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION DURATION.
