GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES.
1. THIS DRAWING IS ONLY TO ASSIST IN SHOWING THE
SCOPE OF DEMOLITION WORK AND 15 NOT INTENDED
TO INDICATE ALL DEMOLITION. CONTRACTOR SHALL

4. CUT, REMOVE, PATCH, ALTER AND REFINISH EXISTING
CONSTRUCTION AS REQUIRED TO LEAVE WORK
COMPLETE AND IN SATISFACTORY MANNER
5. CONTRACTOR IS TO PROTECT ALL UNDER- GROUND
OR OTHER CONCEALED UTILITIES HE 19 TO INSPECT
CEILING AND CHASES TO ASSURE PROPER
IDENTIFICATION OF UTILITIES. MECHANICAL AND /OR
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR ARE TO CAP THEM AS
REQUIRED,

PARTITIONS DUE TO REMOVAL OF DUCTWORK CONDUIT

SUSPENDED SYSTEMS IN THE RENOVATION AREA AS
REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF WORK TO BE DONE,
COORDINATE REMOVAL WITH ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR REGARDING EXISTING LIGHTING
FIXTURES ETC- REPLACE CEILING ACCORDINGLY
AFTER COMPLETING OF WORK.
8. CONTRACTOR 15 TO SAW -GUT ALL OPENINGS IN
CONCRETE BLOCK WALLS IF REQUIRED.
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT DEMOLISH OPENINGS WITH
SLEDGE HAMMER UNTIL OUTLINES HAVE BEEN CUT.
3. RENOVATION WORK MAY ENTAIL INTERVENTIONS IN
AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE IMMEDIATE SCOPE OF WORK,
INCLUDING WORK ABOVE AND /OR BELOW THE FLOOR
LEVEL WITHIN THE SCOPE. IT MAY REQUIRE WORK
INVOLVING REMOTE UTILITY LINES (ELECTRICAL
MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, COMMUNICATIONS). ANY WORK
IN AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE IMMEDIATE SCOPE OF
WORK SHALL BE ALL - INCLUSIVE, PROVIDING ALL
STRUCTURES, UTILITIES, FINISHES AND EQUIP. REQUIRED
TO RESTORE THE AREA TO FULLY OPERATIONAL
CONDITIONS, TO FULLY COMPLYING RATING
INTEGRITY, AND TO MEET OWNER'S APPROVAL ALL
WORK AS DESCRIBED IN THIS NOTE 15 TO BE PART OF

WALLS ARE BEING REMOVED AND INFORM ARCHITECT
OF ANY CONFLICTS BEFORE ANY WALLS ARE
REMOVED SO THAT A/E CAN INSPECT THEM FOR
CLARIFICATION PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH WORK
12. PATCH AND REPAIR ALL EXISTING SURFACES
DAMAGED BY DEMOLITION AND /OR INSTALLATION OF
NEW ELECTRICAL CONDUITS, GAS PIPING, ETC- AS
REQUIRED TO MATCH ADJACENT SURFACES AND /OR
AS REQUIRED FOR NEW SCHEDULED FINISHES.
13. DEMOLITION IS DENOTED BY BROKEN LINES.
14. FOR REMOVAL OF FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT SEE
ARCHITECTURAL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND
ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS.
15. PREPARE EXISTING CONCRETE SLAB AS REQ. BY
GRINDING, LEVELING WITH ARDEX LEVELER AS PER
MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS. MATCH EXISTING
SLAB ELEVATION AS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE NEW
SCHEDULED FLOORING MATERIAL.
16. VERIFY WITH CIVIL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND
ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS ITEMS TO BE
REMOVED /RELOCATED IN CASE OF CONFLICT.
