LIGHTS TO ALERT EMERGENCY PERSONNEL THAT THE
ELEVATORS ARE NOT SAFE FOR USE AS REQUIRED IN
NFPA 72 (2002 EDITION) CHAPTER 6.15.3.9.
E. SHUNT TRIP HEAT DETECTORS: HEAT DETECTORS DETICATED
FOR THE ELEVATOR SHUNT SHALL BE CONNECTED WHERE
REQUIRED AND ACTIVATE A CONTROL SHUNT TO DISCONNECT
THE ELEVATOR POWER UPON ACTIVATION. THE SHUNT POWER
SOURCE SHALL BE MONITORED BY THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL
PANEL AS REQUIRED IN NFPA (2002 EDITION) CHAPTER 6.15.4.4.
