11-32-002GENERAL NOTES
1. THE BIDDER IS REQUIRED, BEFORE SUBMITTING HIS
PROPOSAL, TO EXAMINE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
AND FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH THE NATURE AND
EXTENT OF THE WORK, ANY LOCAL CONDITIONS THAT
MAY IN ANY MANNER AFFECT THE WORK TO BE
DONE, AND EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND LABOR
REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE WORK.
2. SINCE THE WORK INVOLVES EXISTING BUILDINGS,
SYSTEMS AND FACILITIES, SPECIAL CONSIDERATION
SHALL BE GIVEN TO EXAMINATION OF WORKING
CONDITIONS, EXISTING FACILITIES AND ALL BUILDING
STRUCTURES. HE IS TO FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH ALL
EXISTING CONDITIONS, LIGHT VARIATION OF ROUTING
AND OR CONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED BY
THE CONTRACTOR TO AVOID CONFLICTS WITH OTHER
TRADES. THESE ARE EXPRESSLY INCLUDED AS PART
OF THE WORK WHENEVER REQUIRED AT NO ADDITIONAL
COST TO THE OWNER. IGNORANCE ON THE PART OF
THE CONTRACTOR WILL IN NO WAY RELIEVE HIM OF
THE OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ASSUMED
UNDER THIS CONTRACT.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY
CITY, COUNTY AND STATE LICENSES PRIOR TO
COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION. IF SPECIAL PERMITS
ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY OF THE WORK, THEY SHALL
BE OBTAINED AND EXHIBITED. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL GIVE ALL NOTICES AND COMPLY WITH THE LAWS,
ORDINANCES, CODES, AND REGULATIONS BEARING ON
THE CONDUCT OF THE WORK AS DRAWN AND
SPECIFIED.
4. ALL ELECTRICAL WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY A
STATE LICENSED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. ALL
ELECTRICAL WORK TO BE REMOVED, INCLUDING ALL
WIRES AND FEEDS, SHALL BE DISCONNECTED FROM
CORRESPONDING ELECTRICAL PANEL OR JUNCTION BOX.
5. ALL DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE
PREMISES BY CONTRACTOR AND ALL AREAS SHALL BE
LEFT IN A BROOM CLEAN CONDITION AT ALL TIMES.
ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING BUILDING EXTERIOR IS THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO RESTORE TO
ORIGINAL CONDITION.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY
PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE
OCCUPANTS AND WORKERS AT ALL TIMES, AND BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY OF THE SITE WHILE
THE JOB IS IN PROGRESS AND UNTIL ITS COMPLETION.
CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL CARRY
WORKMAN'S COMP. INSURANCE AS WELL AS GENERAL
LIABILITY INSURANCE AND SHALL MAINTAIN SUCH
INSURANCE THROUGH COMPLETION OF JOB. SUBMIT
PROOF OF INSURANCE TO OWNER.
7. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL EXERCISE CARE
DURING DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL TO ASSURE THAT
ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR DEMOLITION ARE PROPERLY
REMOVED AND ITEMS TO REMAIN ARE PROTECTED FROM
DAMAGE.
8. ALL FINISHES AND SURFACES WHICH ARE DAMAGED
DURING DEMOLITION SHALL BE REPAIRED AND OR
REPLACED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER AT
NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
9. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
ANY NECESSARY DEMOLITION WORK.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIAL,
EQUIPMENT, LABOR AND OTHER FACILITIES NECESSARY
FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE WORK. GENERAL
CONTRACTOR IS TO REVIEW THE EXISTING SPACE AND
FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH ALL EXISTING
CONDITIONS AND FINISHES.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF
ANY ERRORS, INCONSISTENCIES OR OMISSIONS HE MAY
DISCOVER ON THESE DRAWINGS. THE CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTING ANY ERROR AFTER THE
START OF THE CONSTRUCTION WHICH HAS NOT BEEN
BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT. THE
MEANS OF CORRECTING ANY ERROR SHALL BE
APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT.
12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING SITE
CONDITIONS PERTINENT TO HIS CONTRACT PRIOR TO
CONSTRUCTION.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING
CONCRETE CURBS AND ASPHALT FROM DAMAGE FROM
CONSTRUCTION AND HEAVY EQUIPTMENT,
14. ALL LANDSCAPED AREAS AFFECTED BY
CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE RESTORED WHEN WORK IS
COMPLETED.
