Fo--Il GENERAL
DEMOUTION WORK INCLUDED CONSISTS OF FURNISHING ALL MATERIAL,
LABOR, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, APPUANCES AND SERVICES NECESSARY TO
COMPLETE ALL DEMOLITION AND RELOCATION WORK REQUIRED IN THE
DRAWINGS. IT SHALL RESULT IN THE COMPLETE REMOVAL AND
DISPOSAL OF EXISTING STRUCTURES AND APPURTENANCES FROM THE
SITE AS INDICATED ON DRAWINGS AND THE CLEANUP AFTER
COMPLETION OF THE DEMOLITION WORK. SEE GENERAL NOTES AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
02 BIDDING
HIDDEN CONDITIONS IN THE WORK AREA MAY BE ENCOUNTERED,
THEREFORE, THE CONTRACTOR IS CAUTIONED THAT A THOROUGH
INSPECTION OF THE JOB SITE SHOULD BE MADE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING
A BID PROPOSAL,
03 LICENSES AND FEES
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LICENSES OR FEES
ASSOCIATED WITH TRASH DISPOSAL.
04 WORK TO REMAIN
EXISTING ROOMS, EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, ETC. LOCATED IN THE WORK
AREA OF THE FINISHED PROJECT BUT ARE NOT TO BE MODIFIED SHALL
BE PROTECTED FROM ALL FORMS OF DAMAGE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROTECT THESE AREAS AND EQUIPMENT, ETC. FROM DAMAGE CAUSED
BY VIBRATION, IMPACT OR ABUSE. HE SHALL TAKE PRECAUTIONS AND
SEAL THESE AREAS AGAINST THE INFILTRATION OF DUST AND DEBRIS.
F05-1 DISPOSAL
CONTRACTOR IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL OF ALL DESCRIBED
EXISTING ITEMS AND THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF SAME. DISPOSAL SHALL
BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL CODES AND MUNICIPAL RULES AND
REGULATIONS. NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE
OWNER FOR THE CONTRACTOR'S FAILURE TO DISPOSE PROPERLY OF
ANY BUILDING WASTE MATERIAL AND THE OWNER SHALL BE HELD
HARMLESS IN THE EVENT OF THE CONTRACTOR'S FAILURE TO PROPERLY
DISPOSE OF BUILDING WASTE.
06 SALVAGE
MATERIAL TO BE SALVAGED SHALL BE REMOVED WITH THE MINIMUM
AMOUNT OF DAMAGE AND STORED ON SITE, ALL STORED MATERIAL
SHALL BE STACKED AND PLACED IN AN ORDERLY MANNER. ANY
SALVAGED ITEMS THAT ARE DETERMINED TO BE OF NO VALUE TO THE
OWNER AFTER REMOVAL AND OWNER'S INSPECTION SHALL BE REMOVED
FROM THE SITE BY THE CONTRACTOR. SALVAGED MATERIALS
DESIGNATED AS PROPERTY OF OWNER SHALL BE STORED IN AREAS
DESIGNATED BY THE OWNER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROMPTLY
REMOVE ALL OTHER MATERIALS FROM THE SITE.
FO-71 CUTTING
CUTTING AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING WORK NECESSARY FOR
MODIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW WORK SHALL BE MADE WITH
A MINIMUM OF DAMAGE TO THE WORK THAT IS TO REMAIN. CUTTING
WITH A POWER SAW SHALL BE DONE WHENEVER PRACTICABLE IN UEU
OF BREAKING OUT. DAMAGE DONE TO EXISTING FACILITIES WHICH ARE
TO REMAIN SHAD_ BE REPAIRED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE AND TO
THE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER, ARCHITECT AND /OR ENGINEER.
