14-1470-002SEQUENCE OF OPERATION: t. -FIRE ALARM INITIATING DEVICES: A.-- MANUAL FIRE ALARM PULL STATIONS ACTIVATION OF ANY FIRE ALARM PULL STA11ON SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTION AND INDICATIONS: - ACTIVATE THE AUDIBLE AND VISUAL SIGNAL THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY. - ACTIVATE THE ALARM LIGHT AND A DIS71NClIVE SOUND AT THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL. - INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE PULL STATION BY DISPLAYING IN ENGLISH THE ALARMED DEVICE ON THE FACP ALPHANUMERIC DISPLAY. - TRANSMITS A FIRE ALARM SIGNAL TO THE DESIGNATED LISTED CENTRAL STATION BY WAY OF DIGITAL ALARM COMMUNICATOR. B.- AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTORS (SMOKE DETECTORS) ACTIVATION OF ANY AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION DEVICE SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTION AND INDICATIONS: - ACTIVATE THE AUDIBLE AND VISUAL SIGNAL THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY. - ACTIVATE THE ALARM LIGHT AND SOUNDER AT THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL. - INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE AUTOMATIC DETECTOR BY DISPLAYING IN ENGLISH, THE ALARMED DEVICE ON Tja5�S RIC DISPLAY. - TRANSMITS A TO THE DESIGNATE D LISTED CENTRAL STATION BY WAY OF DIGITAL ALARM COMM i 2.- SUPERVISORY ALARM INITIATING DEM S. A. -DUCT DETECTORS ACTIVATION OF ANY DUCT DETECTOR SHALL AUTOMATICALLY INITIATE THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS: - ACTIVATE THE SUPERVISORY LIGHT AND A DISTINCTIVE SOUND AT THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL - TRANSMITS A SUPERVISORY ALARM SIGNAL TO THE DESIGNATED LISTED CENTRAL STATION BY WAY OF DIGITAL ALARM COMMUNICATOR. NOTE: NOTIFICATION APPLIANCES WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED. 3.- TROUBLE SIGNALS. A. -MAIN FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL THE OCCURRENCE OF ANY TROUBLE IN THE SYSTEM SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTION AND INDICATIONS: - ACTIVATE THE TROUBLE LIGHT AND A DISTINCTIVE TROUBLE SOUND AT THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL. - DISPLAY THE TROUBLE DESCRIPTION ON THE FRCP ALPHANUMERIC DISPLAY. - TRANSMITS A TROUBLE SIGNAL TO THE DESIGNATED LISTED CENTRAL STATION BY WAY OF DIGITAL ALARM COMMUNICATOR. NOTE: TROUBLE SIGNALS AND THEIR RESTORATION TO NORMAL SHALL BE INDICATED WITHIN 200 SECONDS. 4. -FIRE SAFETY FUNCTIONS. A. -AHU SHUTDOWN - DUCT DETECTOR SHALL AUTOMATICALLY STOP ALL AIR HANDLER UNIT ON DETECTING THE PRESENCE OF SMOKE. B.- ELEVATOR RECALL ACTIVATION OF ANY AUTOMATIC DETECTOR IN ELEVATOR LOBBIES AND ELEVATOR MACHINE ROOM SHALL AUTOMATICALLY INITIATE THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS: - IN111ATE AN ALARM COND111ON IN THE BUILDING FOR EVACUA11ON PURPOSES. - INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE AUTOMATIC DETECTOR BY DISPLAYING IN ENGLISH, THE ALARMED DEVICE ON THE FACP ALPHANUMERIC DISPLAY. - INITIATE THE AUTOMATIC RECALL OPERATION AS FOLLOWS: 1- PRIMARY ELEVATOR RECALL: ACTIVATION OF THE ELEVATOR LOBBY SMOKE DETECTOR LOCATED ON 2ND FLOOR SHALL IN111ATE PRIMARY RECALL WHICH WILL BRING THE ELEVATOR CAR TO THE 1ST FLOOR AND LOCK THE DOORS IN THE OPEN POSITION. 2- SECONDARY ELEVATOR RECALL: ACTIVATION OF THE ELEVATOR LOBBY SMOKE DETECTOR LOCATED ON THE 1ST FLOOR AND /OR SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE ELEVATOR MACHINE ROOM SHALL INITIATE RECALL WHICH WILL BRING THE ELEVATOR CAR TO THE 2ND FLOOR AND LOCK THE DOORS IN THE OPEN POSITION. 3- ELEVATOR WARNING LIGHTS: ACTIVATION OF THE ELEVATOR MACHINE ROOM SMOKE DETECTOR SHALL ALSO IN111ATE THE ELEVATOR WARNING LIGHTS TO ALERT THE FIREFIGHTERS AND OTHER EMERGENCY PERSONNEL THAT THE ELEVATORS ARE NO LONGER SAFE TO USE. THE MAXIMUM TIME PERIOD FROM ACTUATION OF THE INITIATING DEVICE UN11L INITIATION OF ALL RELATED FUNCTIONS AS LISTED ABOVE SHALL BE TEN SECONDS. "DIAGRAM FOR ELEV.
