FIRE ALARM NOTES
1— FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE U.L. LISTED AND NFPA 72 APPROVED AND
COMPATIBLE.
2— RISER INTERCONNECTIONS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY.
3— TOTAL ACTIVE AREA: 9,446 SO. FT.
4— FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TO BE "POWER LIMITED".
5— THE - INSTALLATION SHALL COMPLY NTH NFPA 70 CHAPTER 760.
6— ALL WRING AND CONDUIT SIZE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDATION, LOCAL CODES AND NFPA.
7— ALL CONDUCTORS SHALL BE SOLID OR STRANDED COPPER.
8— MAXIMUM CONDUIT FILLS TO BE 407o. MINIMUM RACEWAY SIZE
9— SYSTEM SHALL BE GROUNDED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATION
AND NEC ARTICLE 250.
10—ALL WALL PENETRATION SHALL BE MADE WITH APPROVED (NEC) ELECTRICAL
TUBING AND SEALED WITH A U.L. LISTED FIRE STOPPER. (SEE FIRE STOP
DETAIL).
11—THE 120V AC POWER FEED FOR THE FIRE PANEL MUST BE FROM A DEDICATED
CIRCUIT AND THE BREAKER MUST BE IDENTIFIED FIRE ALARM CIRCUIT AND
HAVE A LOCK ON IT.
12—VISUAL ALARM PER ANSI A117.1 APPROVED. WALL MOUNTS 80" A.F.F. TO
BOTTOM OF STROBE LENS.
13—ALL NEW WRING INSTALLED IN DUCTS, PLENUMS AND OTHER SPACES USED FOR
ENVIRONMENTAL AIR SHALL BE TYPE FPLP, AS PER NEC (NATIONAL ELECTRIC
CODE) ARTICLE 760-61.
14—ALL N.A.C. WRING SHALL BE CLASS -B- (STYLE "Y"). SIGNALING LINE CIRCUIT
WRING SHALL BE CLASS "B" (STYLE -4-).
15—HORN/STROBES SHALL BE LOCATED AS PER NFPA 72, CHAPTER 7.
16—STROBE LIGHT CIRCUITS SHALL BE SYNCHRONIZED AT 1HZ PER NFPA 72.
17—NEW FIRE ALARM DEVICES TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW CONTROL PANEL
AND RATED FOR FIRE USE.
18—NEW SYSTEM IS CLASSIFIED AS CERTIFICATED FOR CENTRAL STATION SERVICE
PER NFPA 72 8.3.
19—THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE BATTERY BACK UP FOR 24 HRS IN STANDBY MODE
AND 5 MINUTES IN ALARM.
