books and manuals, and soil reports shall constitute a single entity. No part of this entity shall be
considered without the others. Any information within this set and specifications must be
understood as part of the whole set. It is the responsibility of the contractor and his sub contractors
to be familiar with all aspects of the work described within this drawing set prior to the beginning of
any bidding, work and or purchasing. The contractor shall also familiarize themselves with all
existing interior and exterior site conditions, equipment and building systems prior to the beginning
of any bidding, work and or purchasing. If any conflicts arise as within the description of work in
this drawing set and or existing site conditions the contractor must notify the architect prior to the
beginning of any bidding, work and or purchasing. The contractor should anticipate adjustments
made for existing conditions. Variations in the site conditions shall be included in the contractor's
scope of work. Lack of field investigation on the part of the contractor will in no way relieve him of
the obligations and responsibilities of these contract documents.
1. The contractor shall furnish labor to disconnect, dismantle, remove and salvage
such items indicated on plans.
2. The contractor shall take the necessary care to prevent damage to existing items
that are to remain.
3. Existing items that are not shown on plans shall be removed or reworked to
conform to the final plan.
4. When an item is to be removed all associated connected items shall be removed
along with it such as accessories, flashing, and blocking.
5, The contractor shall coordinate with appropriate agencies and landlord for a dumpster.
6. The contractor shall notify the architect and owner of any hidden conditions or discrepancies
when they arise.
7. The electrical contractor shall be responsible for identifying and locking out of all affected
circuits before demolition. The electrical contractor shall remove all unused conduits and wiring
before the beginning of new work.
8. The contractor shall remove and protect items to be reused.
