SHALL BE ACTIVATED.
B. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR AT FIRST FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE
ELEVATOR TO THE SECOND FLOOR.
C. INITIATION OF HEAT DETECTOR (OPEN AREA) AT SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR ELEVATOR

1. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM AND DEVICES TO BE UL LISTED, POWER LIMITED AND COMPATIBLE.
2. VISUAL ALARM PER A.N.S.I. A 117.1.4.26 AND F.B.C.
3. FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE TOTALLY SUPERVISED.
4. UPON ACTIVATION OF ANY MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC DEVICE A RED LID SHALL ILUMINATE
ZONE IN ALARM AT FACP, IN ADDITION A LOCAL AUDIBLE ALARM SHALL SOUND THE

10. HEAT DETECTOR IN ELEVATOR SHAFT SHALL BE FIXED TEMPERATURE 1357. 24" MAXIMUM
DISTANCE FROM SPRINKLER HEAD. PER FIRE DEPARTMENT HEAT SENSOR SHALL BE PART
OF THE FIRE -ALARM SYSTEM, CORRELATE TO A SMART RELAY TO ACTIVATE THE SHUNT
TRIP FOR ELJrVATORS UPON ALARM ON THE HEAT DETECTOR. FIRE ALARM MUST PROVIDE
SUPERVISION FOR POWER AT THE SHUNT TRIP SYSTEM.

A. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR AT MACHINE ROOM SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO
THE FIRST FL IN ADDITION FIRE HAT AND ELEVATOR WARNING LIGHT AT ELEVATOR CAR
SHALL BE ACTIVATED.
B. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR AT FIRST FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE
ELEVATOR TO THE SECOND FLOOR.
C. INITIATION OF HEAT DETECTOR (OPEN AREA) AT SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR ELEVATOR
LOBBY SHALL CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE FIRST FLOOR.
D. INITIATION OF SMOKE DETECTOR FROM FOUTH AND FIFTH FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL
CAPTURE THE ELEVATOR TO THE FIRST FLOOR.

SEMENCE OF OPERATION (EXisw)
1. SEQUENCE OF OPERATION SHALL AS FOLLOWS:
A. OPERATION OF TAMPER SWITCH - SUPERVISORY INDICATION.
B. OPERATION OF PULL STATION - ALARM INDICATION, ACTIVATION OF AUDIO/VISUAL
do VISUAL DEVICES.
C. OPERATION OF SMOKE, HEAT, FLOW SWITCH - ALARM INDICATION, ACTIVATION OF
AUDIOVISUAL AND VISUAL DEVICES, SHUTDOWN OF AIR HANDLING UNIT(S) IN THE
AREA WHERE SIGNAL ORIGINATED.
D. INITIATION OF A DUCT MOUNTED DETECTOR WILL GO INTO SUPERVISORY NOT ALARM,
AND SHALL INITIATE A SUPERVISORY CONDITION AT THE FACP. IN ADDITION LOCAL MU do RTU SHALL SHUTDOWN.
ACTIVATION OF ANY SUPERVISORY DEVICES (INCLUDING TAMPER SNATCH, POST INDICATOR VALVE, AND
DUCT DETECTOR)
SHALL INDICATE AT THE MAIN FACP AND ANNUNCIATOR, AND SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:
A.- SUPERVISORY LIGHT AND BUZZER SHALL BE ACTIVATED.
B.- SHALL BE SEND A SUPERVISORY SIGNAL TO A CENTRAL STATION.
C.- DISPLAY A CUSTOM MESSAGE DESCRIBING THE LOCATION OF THE DEVICE INITIATING THE EVENT.
D.- STORE THE EVENT IN THE HISTORY LOG OF THE PANEL BUZZER COULD BE SILENCIABLE FROM MAIN
FACP, ANY NEW SUPERVISORY SIGNAL SHALL RESOUND THE BUZZER. SUPERVISORY LIGHT SHALL
REMAIN TILL THE ORIGINATING CONDITION IS EXTINGUISHED.
2.- ACTIVATION OF ANY TROUBLE CONDITION SHALL INDICATE AT THE MAIN FACP AND ANNUNCIATOR,
AND SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:
A.- TROUBLE LIGHT AND BUZZER SHALL BE ACTIVATED.
B.- SHALL BE SEND A TROUBLE SIGNAL TO A CENTRAL STATION.
C.- DISPLAY A CUSTOM MESSAGE DESCRIBING THE LOCATION OF THE DEVICE INITIATING THE EVENT.
D.- STORE THE EVENT IN THE HISTORY LOG OF THE PANEL BUZZER COULD BE SILENCIABLE FROM MAIN
FACP, ANY NEW TROUBLE SIGNAL SHALL RESOUND THE BUZZER. TROUBLE LIGHT SHALL REMAIN TILL
THE ORIGINATING CONDITION IS EXTINGUISHED.
3. AUDIBLE AND VISUAL NOTIFICATION APPLIANCES SHALL BE SIMULTANEOUSLY DEACTIVATED ACCORDING
NFPA 72.4.4.3.7.2 (2007 EDITION).
4. JURISDICTION: FINAL DECISION ON SYSTEM OPERATION DURING ALARM CONDITION AND
LOCATION OF CENTRALIZED PERMANENTLY SUPERVISED LOCATION SHALL BE ESTABLISHED
BY OWNER, FIRE MARSHALL. AND RULING AUTHORITIES. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE
OPERATION AND LOCATION OF DEVICES ACCORDINGLY BEFORE COMMENCING WORK.
5. TESTING- - UPON COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT A COMPLETE
TEST OF THE SYSTEM AREA AFFECTING THE TENANT SPACE IN QUESTION IN THE PRESENCE OF
THE TENANT, LANDLORD AND FIRE DEPARTMENT'S REPRESENTATIVE(S). ANY CORRECTIONS TO
THE SYSTEM REQUIRED FOR FINAL APPROVAL SHALL BE DONE.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. THIS PROJECT IS A SUITE 500 THAT SHALL BE ADDED TO PLAZA 57 BLDG. MAIN PANEL
EXISTING, EDWARDS EST2 AS SHOWN AT RISER DIAGRAM.
2. SUITE WILL BE PROVIDED WITH STROBES, HORN /STROBES, SMOKE AND DUCT DETECTORS.
FIRE ALARM BOOSTER POWER SUPPLY #12 IS EXISTING AS SHOWN AT RISER DIAGRAM.

1.11111 Assembly - The 1 or 2 fire-rated gypsum wallboard/stud wall assembly shall be constructed of the materials and in the manner specified In
the individual U300, U400 or V400 Series Wall and Partition Designs In the UL Fire Resistance Directory and shall include the following construction
features.
A. Studs - Wall framing may consist of either wood studs or steel channel studs. Wood studs to consist of nom 2 by 4 in. (51 by 102 mm) lumber
spaced 16 in. (406 mm) OC. Steel studs to be min 2 -1/2 In. (64 mm) wide and spaced max 24 In. (610 mm) OC. ;
B. Gypsum Board' - Nom 518 in. (16 mm) thick gypsum board, with square or tapered edges. The gypsum board type thickness, number of layers, -
