12. INSTALL METAL CONDUITS AND FILL IN ANNULAR SPACE WITH 3M FIRE DAM CAULK.

19. SITE INVESTIGATION: IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BIDERS TO VISIT
THE SITE OF THE WORK AND TO ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH ALL INFORMATION

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE N.E.C. AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
2. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE BY WORKMEN SKILLED IN THE ELECTRICAL TRADE AND IN
A NEAT AND WORKMANLIKE MANNER. A MASTER ELECTRICIAN OR JOURNEYMAN SHALL
BE ON THE JOB AT ALL TIMES WHEN WORK IS BEING DONE.
3. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, DEVICES, RACEWAYS, OUTLETS, ETC. SHALL BE SUPPORTED
IN A SUBSTANTIAL MANNER.
4. SCHEDULE AND COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH OWNER. ALL WORK SHALL BE SCHEDULED,
AT OWNER'S CONVENIENCE,
5. ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS ARE ESSENTIALLY DIAGRAMMATIC. ALTHOUGH LOCATION OF NEW
AND EXISTING EQUIPMENT ARE SHOWN TO SCALE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL
INFORMATION ON THE SITE BEFORE BIDDING THE JOB. NOTIFY OWNER /ENGINEER OF ANY
DISCREPANCIES BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH WORK.
6. PROVIDE SHOP DRAWINGS FOR APPROVAL BY OWNER AND ENGINEER ON FOLLOWING
PRODUCTS.

B. RACEWAYS AND FITTINGS.
C. POWER WIRES,
D. RECEPTACLES, SWITCHES, ETC.
E. FIRE ALARM DEVICES.
F. WIRING DIAGRAM OF NEW DEVICES TO NEW FIRE ALARM PANEL.
7. MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW AND BEAR THE UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES LABEL.
8. SEAL ALL WALLS, FLOORS AND ROOF PENETRATIONS BACK TO ORIGINAL FIRE RATING
USING UL APPROVED COMPOUND MATERIALS.
9. PRODUCTS:
A. RACEWAYS INSIDE BUILDINGS SHALL BE EMT, CONCEALED IN WALLS OR CEILINGS.
RUNS SHALL BE PARALLEL OR PERPENDICULAR TO STRUCTURAL BEAMS AND JOISTS.
RUN AS HIGH AS I POSSIBLE.
B. USE FLEXIBLE METALLIC GALVANIZED CONDUIT INDOORS FOR CONNECTIONS TO LIGHT
FIXTURES AND TO VIBRATION OR ROTATING EQUIPMENT LIKE MOTORS, ETC. USE
LIQUIDTIGHT FLEXIBLE METALLIC CONDUIT FOR CONNECTIONS OUTDOORS OR WHERE
SUBJECT TO WET CONDITIONS.
C. WIRES SHALL BE COPPER, THWN /THHN, 600 VOLTS INSULATION. SIZED AS INDICATED.
MINIMUM SIZE #12 AWG.
D. NEW CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN EXISTING PANELBOARDS SHALL BE UL LISTED FOR
RESPECTIVE MANUFACTURER AND SHALL MATCH EXISTING DEVICES AIC RATING.
E. AUTOMATIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE THERMAL - MAGNETIC TYPE, QUICK -MAKE
AND QUICK -BREAK ON MANUAL OPERATION, TRIP FREE, WITH INVERSE TIME
CHARACTERISTICS.
F. POWER AND LIGHTING CIRCUIT WIRING SHALL BE COLOR

CONTROL DEVICES, ETC. SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED UNDER MECHANICAL
SPECIFICATIONS. COMPLETE POINT BY POINT CONTROL DIAGRAMS SHALL BE FURNISHED
UNDER THE MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A SET OF CLEARLY MARKED DRAWINGS TO SHOW AS- BUILT,
CONDITIONS AT THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION.
12. LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS PULL /JUNCTION BOXES MUST BE LABELED IN RED IDENTIFYING THE
FEEDER OR SYSTEM. ALL OTHERS MUST BE LABELED IN BLACK.
