1- ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE GOVERNING EDITION OF THE
NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (N.E.C. 2008), F.B.0 2010, LOCAL AND STATE CODES AND ANY OTHER APPLICABLE
CODES AND STANDARS.
2- ALL WIRING SHALL BE COPPER (CU) THWN INSULATION. IF ALUMINUM WIRES ARE USED:
A) TO PREVENT OVERHEATING AT CONNECTION POINTS USE OXIDE INHIBITING COMPOUND FOR STRIPPED PORTION
OF CONDUCTORS INSIDE CONNECTORS.
B) A PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PLAN IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE A RELIABLE SERVICE
INCLUDING VISUAL INSPECTIONS AND TESTS FOR SPLICES AND CONNECTION POINTS
(CORROSION AND TIGHTNESS PRINCIPALLY) INSPECTION INTERVALS OF 2 YEARS MAXIMUM ARE STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED.
3- ALL CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE RATED AT MINIMUM OF 10,000 AIC.
4- PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF ROUGH ELECTRICAL WIRING, CHECK NAMEPLATE DATA OF ALL EQUIPMENT FOR
REQUIRED VOLTAGES, MINIMUM CIRCUIT AMPACITY, AND OVERCURRENT PROTECTION.
5- ELECTRICAL PLANS AND CALCULATIONS WERE BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY OWNER AGENT.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY, CHANGES TO BE
REFLECTED IN THE DRAWINGS.

1. WHERE ELECTRIC LIGHTING FIXTURES, SWITCHES, RECEPTACLES, BOXES,
CABINETS, DEVICES, ETC. ARE TO BE REMOVED, AND BOXES AND
CONDUITS ARE TO REMAIN, ALL CONDUCTORS SHALL BE
DE- ENERGIZED, DISCONNECTED AT BOTH ENDS, REVERSED INTO THE
BOX, AND THE BOX PLUGGED WITH CEMENT PLASTER OR OTHER
APPROVED MATERIAL AND THE WALL, FLOOR, CEILING AND THE LIKE,
RESTORED TO MATCH THE SURROUNDING FINISH TO THE SATISFACTION
OF THE OWNER.
2. WHERE ELECTRICAL FIXTURES, SWITCHES, OUTLETS, RECEPTACLES,
BOXES, CABINETS, DEVICES, ETC. ARE TO BE REMOVED, AND THEIR
REMOVAL AFFECTS THE OPERATION OF THE EQUIPMENT, FIXTURE,
RECEPTACLES, ETC., THAT IS TO REMAIN (INCLUDING ITEMS THAT MAY
NOT BE SHOWN IN THE DRAWINGS BUT ARE PRESENTLY EXISTING IN
PLACE) THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RE- CIRCUIT THEM (INCLUDING
BOXES, CONDUIT, WIRES, ETC.) TO RESTORE THEM TO THE ORIGINAL
OPERATING CONDITION, ALL AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
3. UNUSED OPENINGS IN BOXES, CABINETS, PANELBOARDS, ETC., WHERE
CONDUIT IS REMOVED OR PREVIOUSLY EXISTED, SHALL BE PLUGGED
OR BLANKED OUT BY APPROVED METHODS, IF THE OPENING IS TO
REMAIN.
4. ALL EXPOSED CONDUIT, WIRES, OUTLETS, ETC. NOT TO BE REUSED IN
THE NEW REMODELED LAYOUT, SHALL BE REMOVED.
5. EXISTING CONDUIT RUNS, STUBBING UP THRU FLOORS IN AREAS
WHERE WALLS ARE TO BE REMOVED, SHALL HAVE THEIR CONDUCTORS
DE- ENERGIZED AND REMOVED, CONDUIT CUT -OFF GROUND FLUSH
WITH FLOOR AND PLUGGED WITH CEMENT MORTAR OR ANY OTHER
APPROVED MATERIAL. THE SAME APPLIES WITH EXISTING CONDUITS
THAT ARE STUBBING OUT OF WALLS AND FLOORS.
6. WHERE PRACTICAL, EXISTING CONDUCTORS AND WIRES THAT ARE IN
GOOD CONDITION, MAY BE REUSED IN PLACE AND INCORPORATED IN
THE NEW REMODELED LAYOUT PROVIDED, IT IS OF PROPER SIZE, TYPE
OF CONDUCTOR AND WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE OWNER.
7. ABANDONED CIRCUIT CONDUCTORS IN PANELBOARDS, SHALL BE
DISCONNECTED, TAPED AND IDENTIFIED. SALVAGED ITEMS SHALL BE
RETURNED TO THE OWNER, AND DELIVERED WHERE DIRECTED BY HIM.
ITEMS AND MATERIALS CONSIDERED UNSALVAGEABLE BY THE OWNER,
SHALL BE DISPOSED OF AS DIRECTED BY THE OWNER. REMOVED WALL
SWITCHES, RECEPTACLES AND LIGHTING FIXTURES SHALL NOT BE
REUSED IN NEW CONSTRUCTION.
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE, PRIOR BIDDING THIS WORK, TO
FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH THE STATUS OF THE SPACE, AND INCLUDE
IN HIS BID, ALL THE REQUIRED DEMOLITION OR MODIFICATIONS
(INCLUDING FIXTURES, OUTLETS, BOXES, PANELBOARDS, BREAKERS,
TRANSFORMERS, ETC.) IN ORDER TO HAVE A COMPLETE FINISHED
INSTALLATION. NO EXTRA CHARGES WILL BE ALLOWED BECAUSE OF
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE REQUIREMENTS.
9. CONTRACTORS WORK SHALL BE FULLY COORDINATED WITH BUILDING
SYSTEMS, AND ANY MODIFICATIONS, OR ADDITIONS THAT WILL ALTER
THE BUILDING SYSTEM, SHALL BE MADE IN FULL COMPATIBILITY WITH
THE SYSTEM. WORK ON THE SYSTEM SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH
THE BUILDING MANAGER, AND WORK DONE IN NON- WORKING HOURS,
IF REQUESTED, AT NO EXTRA COST TO THE OWNER.
