5. STERILIZER - Electrical contractor shall provide
a 110 volt 20 amp dedicated circuit with a single
receptacle at proper height and dimensions shown on
Dental equipment drawings.
6. INTRA-ORAL X-RAY - Electrical contractor shall
provide a 110 volt 20 amp dedicated circuit at pro-
per height and dimensions shown on Dental electrical
print. Check plans to determine if x-ray is mounted on
int• or ext. wall or inside a poss-through x-ray cab-
inet. In the case where the installation is on a wall, in-
stall a single cut in box flush with exterior surface of
sheetrock and blank off circuit. Dental equipment
dealer will make final connection to this circuit Check
Dental elec. print to see if a low voltage system is
being coiled for marked XP, if this is the case then
install another single cut in box right next to the
above mentioned no volt circuit. Be sure this addit-
ional box is mounted on the right side next to the x-
ray 110 volt box, not a stud width away! If the plans
call for x-ray mounting inside a pass-through cabinet
then install as follows- Spot the x-ray 110 iiialt ded-
icated circuit on the 44 or dbI 2xVs as shown on
Dental elec. print bore a hole through 44 large

7. PANORAMIC X-RAY - Electrical contractor shall
provide a 110 volt dedicated circuit at proper dim-
ensions and height as shown on Dental elec. print, in-
stall a single cut in box flush with exterior surface of
sheetrock and install a single recept9cle. Check plan
to see if a low voltage system is being called for. If
this is the case, then install another single cut in box
next to the above mentioned 110 volt x-ray circuit.
8. X-RAY EXPOSURE SWITCH - Electrical contractor
'a provide a single cut in box located as shown on
Dental elec. print with a 3/4 conduit run between this
box and the previously mentioned Iv boxes next to
wall mount x-ray circuit or inside a pass-through cab-
inet This Iv box is marked on print as XP. Pull 4 f18
go. stranded colored wire through conduit between
these boxes and or poss!throui cabinet. Dental
equipment v u
quiDment dealer war supply iv uttons and make the
fi6of connections. Some pub buttons ore located in
a cabinet type Dental unit at the head of the oper-
atory and are island mounted with no means of conn-
ection except sub-slob, be sure to check with
Dental equipment dealer if there are any questions
concerning the piping for these push bultons.
9. PANORAMIC X-RAY CONTROL - Electrical con-
tractor shall provide a 4 sq cut in box at the pro-
per height and dimensions shown on electrical print.
Provide a 110 volt 20 ampere dedicated hard wire
circuit to this some 4 square box.
This box will be marked PXC. Run a 1' conduit
between this box and the previously mentioned box
next to the 110 volt panoramic x-ray circuit Install a
pull string through the conduit for Dental equipment
ipment
dealer to install a factory supplied cable at fifiish.
Blank off both of these boxes.
10. SAFELIGHT IN USE INDICATOR - Electrical con-
tractor shall provide a 110 volt duplex receptacle
located at proper height and dimensions as shown on
Dental elec. print A single cut in box located out-
side dark room at switch height is to be provided
as well. A switched 110 volt circuit is to feed both
the 110 volt duplex receptacle and the single cut in
box located outside the dark room. This some switch-
ed circuit is to feed the fan section of a fan & light
combination unit in ceiling. Dental equipment dealer
will supply the indicator light for the single cut in box
outside the dark room.
11. EXHAUST FAN & LIGHT - Electrical contractor
shall provide either a combination 100 watt incan-
descent light with a 50-75 cfm exhaust fan or a 2x2
lays fluorescent fixture along with a seperate 50-
75 cfm exhaust fan. see orchitecturaf fixture

erately by itself.
Switch the sofelight receptacle, fan section, and the
indicator light outside dark room together.
12.DENTAL JUNCTION BOX - This junction area may
be a number of different places in a Dental office
facility. This area may be under the toe of a dental
chair, inside a cabinet sub-base or cabinet or on a
vertical wall. There is however, to be provided,
either a duplex receptacle or a quad receptacle
depending on the particular location and needs. In
the case of the -box being on the floor, there will
most likely be a metal can sub-floor with a GR dup-
lex receptacle mounted flush with the top surface of
the floor. Local codes may call for these circuits to
have a simalar ground calling for rigid piping. In the
case of the j-box area falling inside a cabinet or up
on a vertical wall, the rcuit would then be a stomf-
ard duplex rec?tocle! See j-box illustrations for
C
each individual ayout S that particular j-box area.)

quire the use of a GA receptacle. Electrical can-
trig specified for 6 specific junction box area by.
in junction box illustrations on Dental equipment
sp
dr drawings Some floor receptacles may be surface mount.
14. FLOOR RECEPTACLE - Electrical contractor sholl
fde a surface mount duplex receptacle at loca-

VC termination point on the F-1 plan view sheet, this
receptacle is to be switched as shown. There may also
be additional receptacles switched with this circuit
such as lite comm systems and or multimedia recep-
tacles. The cut in boxes next to these receptacles
provided by the electrical contractor are 4 square
deep boxes With a 1 qpnduit run up above wall cap.

up out
with the tD surface of the floor below the floor
covering! Floor covering should go down perfectly
smoothe over tine top of stub up! A minimum of 6
radius sweep el s are to be used. If cerqrylic tile is
being, used in the ope t * then a 1/2 smooth do.
ro'o
hole is to be bored through directly over chose
k
e stub up. If vct tile or linoleum is being used,
pipe a small tak through floor covering drectly over
chose pipe stub up is to be used as a marker for
Dental e, enl installers. For the rmmo Ina
pm . other term* th
end of same chose pipe, leave a 6 stub up, this wilt
