PROPOSED, PRIOR To BD /CONSTRUCTION. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL IDENTIFY ALL THE BRANCH
CIRCUITS BEING FED FROM EXISTING PANELS
2. ALL EQUIPMENT SCHEDULED TO BE REUSED, SHALL BE RECONDITIONED To LIKE NEW. IF COST TO
REPAIR OR RECONDITION EXCEEDS NEW COST , THEN THE EQUIPMENT SHALL BE REPLACED.
3. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECONNECTING ALL ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT N ORDER TO HAVE A COMPLETE WORKING JOB, WHETHER OR NOT THE EQUIPMENT ON THE
NEW PLANS.
4. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS PROJECT, THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR MUST CHECK OUT ALL
EXISTING CIRCUITS STARTING AT THEIR DISTRIBUTION POINTS IN ORDER TO SEE IF THEY ARE STILL.

B. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT PRIOR
TO INSTALLATION.
9. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO BID AND INSTALLATION,
INFORM THE ENGINEER OF RECORD OF ANY DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DOCUMENTS AND THESE
CONDITIONS AND HE SHALL INCLUDE IN HIS BID TO CORRECT THE SAME AS DIRECTED. THE ENGINEER
AND THE ARCHITECT ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS RESULTING FROM VERIFIABLE
EXISTING CONDITIONS DISCOVERED AFTER THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED.
10. THE INTENT OF THE ELECTRICAL DESIGN IS TO UTILIZE AS MUCH OF THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AS
POSSIBLE, THEREBY ELIMINATING EXCESSIVE COST, CONSTRUCTION, AND TIME
11. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP AS -BOLTS AND SUBMIT TO ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR
RENEW. ALL CHANGES SHALL BE FORWARDED A MINIMUM OF (2) WEEKS PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION.
ANY EXPENSES, SUCH AS REVISIONS OR AS- BUL1S, NECESSARY FOR FINAL C.O. SHALL AT THE
EXPENSE OF THE OWNER.
12. ELECTRICIAN SHALL MARK PANEL CIRCUIT NUMBERS AT ALL DEVICES /J- BOXES.
13. ALL ELECTRICAL PANELS SHALL BE LABELED AND PROVIDED WITH A TYPED, UP To DATE PANEL
SCHEDULE.
ELECTRICAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. - Fixtures and equipment to be demolished, shall be removed by the
electrical contractor and salvage value shall be reflected in a reduction of
the bid /proposal.
2. Remove existing wiring and equipment /devices which are not
necessary for the function of new equipment /devices and the function of
existing equipment /devices remaining. Leave abandoned wiring entirely,
unless otherwise noted, and remove accessible raceways, cut, cap and
patch over concealed conduits at a point of emergence. Existing panel
directories shall be replaced new type written directories to reflect
as -built conditions, with spare or space indicated in pencil. Provide new
labels on the left and even number labels on the right.
Existing equipment and materials that are removed shall not be
reused except where specifically noted. Dispose of scrap debris. Maintain
electrical continuity to equipment /devices which shall remain, contractor
shall be guided by owner,architect as to the requirement for removal of
equipment /devices which may not be indicated
Remove existing wiring devices as required for the removal of walls
and /or the installation of new wall finishes where devices are removed.
Contractor shall also remove outlet box, conductors, conduit and
mounting hardware, exception to this requirement may be where
contractor proposes to reuse conduit concealed or outlet box recessed in
existing wall or floor slab for new work, if approved in advance by
architect.
