GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL CODES.
THIS IS TO INCLUDE THE STANDARD BUILDING CODE, THE STANDARD MECHANICAL
CODE, APPLICABLE NFPA CODES, NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, AND THE STATE
ENERGY CODE.'
2. DEFINITIONS; "FURNISH" SHALL MEAN TO PURCHASE AND LOCATE AN ITEM ON THE
JOBSITE. "INSTALL" SHALL MEAN TO PYHSICALLY INSTALL THE ITEM, & TO CONNECT
ALL REQUIRED SERVICES TO MAKE THAT ITEM FULLY FUNCTIONAL. "PROVIDE" SHALL
MEAN TO BOTH FURNISH AND INSTALL AN ITEM.
3. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE UL CLASSIFIED OR LISTED.
4. THE MECHANICAL. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE PLANS SHOWING THE LOCATION AND
SIZES OF ALL ROOF OPENINGS, FOR USE BY THE STRUCTURAL STEEL SUBCONTRACTOR.
STEEL SUPPORT FRAMES SHALL BE PROVIDED BENEATH THE FULL PERIMETER OF ALL
ROOF CURBS. SEE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS FOR BURGLAR BAR REQUIREMENTS.
5. THE MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE PLANS SHOWING THE LOCATIONS AND
SIZES OF ALL WALL OPENINGS, FOR USE BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
6. THE BUILDING IS FULLY SPRINKLED, THE MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL

AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT
1. THE ELECTRICAL' SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW AND APPROVE THE SUBMITTALS FOR IMPACT
ON THE ELECTRICAL, PRIOR TO ORDERING EQUIPMENT. TRANE, CARRIER, AND YORK ARE
APPROVED FOR'RTU -3.

SUPPORTED ON 'PRESSURE TREATED BLOCKS, AND SLOPED WITH THE ROOF PITCH.
CONDENSATE PIPING SHALL BE INSTALLED BY THE PLUMBING CONTRACTOR.

9. AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT SHALL BE OPERATED WITH THROWAWAY FILTERS DURING
CONSTRUCTION, PRIOR TO TEST AND BALANCE, 2" PLEATED MEDIA FILTERS SHALL
BE PROVIDED IN ALL AIR CONDITIONING UNITS.
10. THE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS SHALL HAVE A CHECK, TEST, & START BY THE
MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR WITH A WRITTEN REPORT SUBMITTED AS PART OF THE
TEST & BALANCE REPORT AT COMPLE1ION OF THE PROJECT. THE REPORT SHALL BE
ON FORMS FURNISHED BY THE ROOFTOP UNIT MANUFACTURER. THE REPORT SHALL
NOTE THE START -UP DATE FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE UNIT WARRANTY.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
1. TEMPERATURE CONTROLS FOR THE ROOFTOP UNITS SHALL BE WITH FACTORY INSTALLED
24 VOLT CONTROL SYSTEMS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH WINN -DIXIE SPECIFICATIONS.
2. SPACE TEMPERATURE AND DEWPOINT SENSORS SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH THE ROOFTOP
UNIT (RTU -1) AND FIELD INSTALLED BY THE MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR AT LOCATIONS
SHOWN ON THE PLAN. MOUNT ALL SENSORS 7'0" AFF. WIRING FOR TEMPERATURE
SENSORS (2 -WIRE SHIELDED) AND DEWPOINT SENSORS (4 -WIRE) SHALL BE AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE ROOFTOP UNIT MANUFACTURER.
3. THE ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE 208/1 VOLT FIELD WIRING
(3 -WIRE) FOR THE HEAT RECLAIM COILS BETWEEN THE COMPRESSOR RACKS IN THE
MACHINE ROOM AND THE ROOFTOP UNIT (RTU -1)
4. DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE PROVIDED BY DIVISION 161 & INSTALLED IN THE RETURN
AIR AND THE SUPPLY AIR DUCT OF THE RTU -1, 2 & 3 BY MECHANICAL CONTRATOR.
5. THE ROOM THERMOSTAT FOR RTU -2 & RTU -3, SHALL BE A HONEYWELL
T87 SERIES THERMOSTAT, WITH AN "AUTO -ON" FAN SWITCH AND A
"COOL - HEAT - OFF -AUTO" FAN SWITCH.
6. TOILET EXHAUST FANS SHALL BE SWITCHED WITH THE LIGHTS AS
SHOWN ON THE ELECTRICAL FLOOR PLANS.
7. REFER TO DWG M -501 FOR EXHAUST HOOD OPERATIONS.
8. THE MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL STARTERS.
9. THE ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL DISCONNECT SWITCHES.
10. LOW VOLTAGE (24 VOLT) CONTROL WIRING AND CONDUIT SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE
MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR.
11. LINE VOLTAGE (110 VOLT AND HIGHER) POWER WIRING & CONDUIT SHALL BE
PROVIDED BY THE ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR.
12. THE MECHANICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY OPERATION OF ALL CONTROLS
AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT IN WRITING TO WINN -DIXIE
MAINTENANCE /CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR THAT ALL PENETRATIONS
THRU WALLS (INTERIOR & EXTERIOR) AND ROOF BY ANY AND ALL
