GENERAL PLUMBING NOTES
I . ALL WORK REFLECTED ON THESE DOCUMENTS ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2010
EDITION OF THE "FLORIDA BUILDING CODE - PLUMBING.
2. THE NATURE OF THI5 REMODELING TYPE PROJECT POSES SPECIAL UNFORESEEN
CONDITIONS TO THE ARCHITECT AS WELL AS THE CONTRACTORS. EVERY EFFORT
HAS BEEN MADE TO SHOW AND VERIFY THE LOCATION OF EXISTING PLUMBING
SYSTEMS WHERE POSSIBLE. THE MAJOR PORTION OF THE PLUMBING SYSTEMS ARE
SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS. HOWEVER DEVIATION MAY BECOME EVIDENT AND
CHANGES MAY OCCUR AS THE JOB PROGRESSES.
3. EXISTING CONDITION DEPICTED ON THESE DRAWINGS WERE ESTABLISHED FROM
LIMITED FIELD OBSERVATIONS. AS BUILT DRAWINGS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS
PROPERTY. CONTRACTORS SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS PRIOR TO
SUBMITTING THEIR BID AND BRING ALL DISCREPANCIES TO THE ATTENTION OF THE
OWNER AND ARCHITECT OF RECORD.
4. CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING H15 WORK WITH OTHER
TRADES AND TO PROTECT FROM DAMAGE EXISTING PIPES USED FOR PROPOSED
CONNECTIONS.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE EXACT LOCATION OF EXISTING PIPE AND UTILITIES
BEFORE COMMENCING TO WORK AND MAKE MODIFICATIONS AS REQUIRED
WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COSTS TO OWNER.
G. EXISTING PIPE SERVING AREAS NOT COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT BUT IN SERVICE
AT THI5 TIME SHALL NOT BE INTERRUPTED UNLESS IT 15 A TEMPORARY

7. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CORING, SAW CUTTING AND PATCHING
FLOOR SLAB FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW PIPING.
8. ALL WASTE AND VENT PIPING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 DWV PVC. ALL SLOPES SHALL
BE 1/4" P.L.F. FOR 3 "0 PIPES OR LE55 AND 1/8" P.L.F. FOR 4 "0 OR GREATER.
9. PROVIDE SCHEDULE 40 DWV PVC CONDENSATE DRAIN PIPING. TERMINATE ABOVE
PERVIOUS AREA OR IN CONDENSATE DRY WELL.
10. ALL ABOVE GROUND DOMESTIC WATER PIPING SHALL BE COPPER TUBING TYPE T'
WITH BRONZE OR WROUGHT COPPER SOLDER JOINT FITTINGS.
1 1 . ALL BELOW GROUND DOMESTIC WATER PIPING SHALL BE COPPER TUBING TYPE "K"
WITH BRONZE OR WROUGHT COPPER SOLDER JOINT FITTINGS.
