17.- WHERE FINISHES ARE SHOWN TO BE REMOVED FROM EXISTING CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR AND PATCH REMAINING
SUBSTRATE AND PREPARE FOR NEW FINISH. REPAIR AND PATCH ALL REMAINING SUBSTRATES THAT WERE ORIGINALLY

SECURITY AND FORCED ENTRY PREVENTION
1. ALL LOCKS ON EXTERIOR DOORS SHALL BE CAPABLE OF RESISTING A FORCE OF 300 LBS APPLIED IN ANY
MOVABLE DIRECTION.
2. ALL EXTERIOR SWING DOORS SHALL HAVE A LOCK TO BE KEY OPERATED FROM THE EXTERIOR WITH A MIN. OF
6000 POSSIBLE KEY CHANGES OR LOCKING AUXIUARY SINGLE DEAD BOLT WITH HARDENED BOLT INSERTS
3. THE ACTIVE LEAF OF PAIRS OF EXTERIOR SWING DOORS SHALL HAVE SAME LOCKS AS REQUIRED FOR SINGLE
EXTERIOR SWING DOORS. THE INACTIVE LEAF SHALL HAVE MULTIPLE POINTS OF LOCKS WITH 5/8" MIN. THROW BOLTS
WITH INSERTS.
4. JAMBS OF ALL EXTERIOR OFFSET TYPE IN SWING DOORS SHALL BE REBATED OR OF SIMILAR FABRICATION TO
PREVENT DEFEATING THE PURPOSE OF THE STRIKE AND THE INTEGRITY OF THE LOCKS AND LATCHES.
5. HINGES ON EXTERIOR OUT SWINGING DOORS SHALL HAVE NON REMOVABLE PINS AND NON - EXPOSED SCREWS
6. SUDING GLASS DOOR AND WINDOWS SHALL BE INSTALLED AND CONSTRUCTED SO THAT NO PANEL CAN BE LIFTED

HE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTRACTOR'S FAILURE TO CARRY OUT
THE WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
6.- ALL MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
APPUCABLE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR TESTING
AND MATERIALS.
7.- THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR MAY SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT AND /OR
MATERIALS AS LONG AS SUCH CHANCES MEET ALL F.B. CODE REQUIREMENTS, ARE

8.- CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT THE PRODUCT CONTROL APPROVAL BY DADE
COUNTY FOR ROOFING do WATER PROOFING COMPONENTS, FOR WINDOWS, AND FOR
ALL PRODUCTS REQUIRING SAID APPROVAL.
9.- WORKMANSHIP: ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN A MANNER CONSISTENT
WITH THE BEST PRACTICES FOR THE RESPECTIVE TRADES AND QUALITY SPECIFIED.
WORK NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE TRADE IN HIGHEST LEVEL OF WORKMANSHIP WILL
BE REJECTED. ANY WORK REJECTED SHALL BE REDONE AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
CORRECTION OF DEFECTIVE WORK SHALL BE STARTED NOT LATER THAN FIVE DAYS
AFTER N0110E IS GIVEN BY THE CONTRACTOR, AND SHALL PROCEED WITHOUT
DELAY UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETED.
10: CLEANUP: THE CONTRACTOR AND ALL TRADES SHALL AT ALL TIMES KEEP
THE PREMISES CLEAN OF DEBRIS ARISING OUT OF THE WORK AND FREE FROM
