A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a three-year
agreement with an option to renew with Southern Waste Systems for
the removal and disposal of non-hazardous waste.
It is a requirement to inform the National Pol.lutant Discharge Elimination
System (NPDES) of the amount of non-hazardous debris collected by the
Street Sweeper on annual basis.
The Annual Report Form for Individual NPDES Permits for Municipal
Separate Storm Water Sewer Systems must be submitted to the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection per the Interlocal Agreement.
Part of this form includes Section VII Part III.A3, which requests an
estimate of the quantity of sweepings collected.
Public Works obtained three quotes and Southern Waste Systems was
the most responsive and responsible bidder. The 14 yard container will
be used to temporarily store non-hazardous waste collected by the
Street Sweeper. Southern Waste Systems will provide on-call disposal of
the debris collected in the container for a flat rate amount of $275.00 per
14-yard haul during the three-year agreement, as well as the two-year
option.

The City Manager is authorized to enter into a three-year agreement with an 29
option to renew for a maximum of five consecutive years, with Southern Waste Systems for the 30
removal and disposal of non-hazardous waste collected by the Street Sweeper for a flat rate of 31
$275.00 per haul, during the term of the agreement, including any renewal and charged to 32
account number 001-1720-534-4340, Public Works Refuse Disposal and which shall not exceed 33

Severability. If any section, clause, sentence, or phrase of this resolution is 36
for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, this holding 37
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this resolution. 38
