WHEREAS,theMayorand Commission recognize the important contributions made by thosewhoserveonthevariouscityboardsand committees,andwishtoappointafullcomplementto each of the active boards and committees;and WHEREAS,theSection2-26.8(c)hasbeenamendedsothatthebudgetandfinance committee termsbeginsonthedateofthefirstCity Commission meeting of thenewfiscalyear,with appointmentslastingone(1)yearoruntilreplaced;and WHEREAS,thebudgetandfinancecommitteeshouldbemadeexplicitlyexemptfrom Section2-22 of theCode of Ordinances,limitingtermstotwo(2)yearssothatsomeonewhohas climbed the learning curve of the budget processandwhohas proven tobea responsible member mayhavea longer tenure;and WHEREAS,thecity manager or designee mayserveasanex officio member of the committee;and WHEREAS,Commissioner Welshnowdesiresto appoint KyleSaxontoserveonthe BudgetandFinance Committee fortheFY 2015-2016 ashisrepresentative.
