WHEREAS,the CityhasreceivedinsurancequotesforWorkers1 Compensation Coverage. WHEREAS TheCityreceivedarenewal quote from FMIT for the continuation of the existing coverage,but received no other proposals for the necessary coverage; WHEREAS,the City Administration recommends that the City continue coverage with the FloridaLeagueofCities through FMIT for Workers'Compensation Coverage for the 2015-2016 Fiscal Year based upon the current proposal; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA THAT: Section I.The City Commission hereby authorizes the CityManager to execute therenewalinsurancepolicyfor Workers'Compensationwith FMIT forthe 2015-2016 Fiscal Year. THE CITY OF PLEASANT LIVING Property,General Liability and Automobile Insurance The City Manager recommends that the City renew itspolicywith PGIT foritsProperty,General Liability andAutomobileInsurancecoveragefor a total premium of $399,888.This represents an increase of approximately 3.8%overlast year's premium.This increase islargely attributable to the additionof several newvehicles to the City's inventory.As set forth above,the PGIT proposal contains the most favorable rates for these linesofcoverageandoffersa two year rate guarantee.
