Res No 127-05-14466RESOLUTION NO.:127-15-14466 A Resolution authorizing the CityManager to accept donation contributions in the amount of $700 for the 2015 Back to School Giveaway event. WHEREAS,the Special Events Division received two (2)donations in theamountof$700 from Larkin Community Hospital ($500)andSouth Miami Alliance forYouth ($200);and WHEREAS,thesedonations will beusedtowardthepurchaseofschool supplies andevent- relatedexpendituresassociatedwiththe 2015 Back toSchool Giveaway event. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA THAT: Section I.TheCity Manager isauthorizedtoacceptdonation contributions intheamountof $700forthe 2015 Back to School Giveaway event,increasing the expenditure lineitem 001-2000-572- 4820,Promotional Activities/Special Events,witha current balanceof$472.84,by$700. Section 2.Severability.Ifanysectionclause,sentence,or phraseofthisresolutionisforany reasonheld invalid or unconstitutional bya court of competent jurisdiction,the holdingshall not affect the validityof the remaining portions ofthis resolution. Section 3.Effective Date.Thisresolutionshall become effectiveimmediatelyuponadoption by vote of the CityCommission.
