A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to accept a donation contribution
in the amount of $500 for the 2015 Back to School event.
WHEREAS,the SpecialEvents Division receiveda donation in the amount of$500fromSouth
Miami Pharmacy;and
WHEREAS,this donation will beused towards the purchase ofschoolsuppliesand other
event-related expenditures associated with the 2015 Back to School event.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA THAT:
Section I.TheCityManageris authorized to accept donation contribution in the amount of
$500for the Back to School event,increasing the expenditure lineitem 001-2000-572-4820,
Promotional Activities/SpecialEvents,witha current balanceof$6,430by$500.
Section 2,Severability.Ifanysectionclause,sentence,or phraseofthis resolution isforany
reasonheld invalid or unconstitutional bya court of competent jurisdiction,the holdingshall not affect
the validityof the remaining portions ofthis resolution.
Section 3.Effective Date.This resolution shall become effectiveimmediatelyupon adoption
by vote of the CityCommission.

from South MiamiPharmacy.This donation willbeused towards the

The Back to School Giveaway event willbe held at the Gibson-Bethel
Community Center on Thursday,August 20,2015 from 4:00 p.m.to6:00
p.m.This event is free to the community.
