A. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND
LABOR FOR A COMPLETE HVAC INSTALLATION IN ACCORDANCE
TO THESE DIAGRAMA11CAL DRAWINGS.
B. MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE TO THE
LATEST EDITION OF THE FLORIDA BULIDING CODE .
C. CONTRACTOR SHALL BASE HIS BID AFTER FAMILIARIZING
HIMSELF WITH ALL EXISTING ASBUILT CONDITIONS.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK,
DIFFUSERS AND GRILLES TO WORK AND FIT PROPERLY WITH ALL
OTHER TRADES AND ASSURE THAT THESE ITEMS DO NOT CONFLICT
WITH ELECTRICAL FIXTURE LOCATIONS.
3. VERIFY EXACT ROUTING OF DUCTWORK AND CONDENSATE DRAINS
WITH STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS. LOCATION AND SIZE OF ALL
SLEEVES THROUGH STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO
ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO EXECUTION.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AN INDEPENDENT TEST AND BALANCE
CONTRACTOR TO TEST AND BALANCE ALL THE HVAC SYSTEMS,
AND ADJUST ALL CONTROLS AND EQUIPMENT FOR PROPER
OPERATION. TEST AND BALANCE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT
3 SETS OF TEST AND BALANCE REPORT FOR ENGINEER'S
APPROVAL.
5. COORDINATE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL SUPPLY AND RETURN AIR
DEVICES WITH LIGHT FIXTURE LOCATIONS.
6. EQUIPMENT SHALL HAVE CAPACITIES REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A
SUITABLE OPERATING BALANCE BETWEEN ASSOCIATED ITEMS OF
EQUIPMENT. ALL DAMPER & CONTROLS SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO
OBTATIN THE REQUIRED CAPACITIES UNDER ACTUAL OPERATING
CONDITIONS OF EACH SYSTEMS AS INSTALLED. OPERATING POWER
REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH ITEM OF EQUIPMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED
THE RATED MOTOR HORSEPOWER.
7. CONSTRUCT A/C DUCTWORK FROM LOW PRESS. GALV SHEETMETAL
PER SMACNA'S LOW PRESSURE DUCT MANUAL , WITH R -6
INTERNAL LINING. VENTILATION DUCTWORK WITHOUT INSULATION.
SEAL AND INSTALL PER LATEST SMACNA MANUAL.
RECOMMENDATIONS. SIZES NOTED ARE CLEAR INSIDE
DIMENSIONS. PROVIDE AIR VOLUME EXTRACTORS, SPLITTER
DAMPERS OR ADJUSTABLE TURNING VANES AT ALL BRANCH TAKE-
OFFS AS REQUIRED FOR PROPER AIR BALANCING.
8. GREASE EXHAUST DUCTWORK SHALL BE 16. GA. SEAMLESS
CARBON STEEL DUCTWORK WITH LIQUID -TIGHT EXTERNAL WELD.
KITCHEN HOOD SHALL BE 18 G A G A V S T EEL WITH L I QU ID -TIGHT
EXTERNAL WELD AS PER NFPA 96 SPECIFICATIONS.
9. AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF
ALUMINUM, AS MANUFACTURED BY PRICE OR EQUAL APPROVED
AS SHOWN ON GRILLE SCHEDULE.
10. AC UNITS TO BE AS SCHEDULED,OR APPROVED EQUAL,
COMPLETE FACTORY ASSEMBLED.
11. COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH OTHER TRADES INVOLVED. THIS
INCLUDES WALL AND ROOF PENETRATIONS AND REQUIRED
ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND CONTROL WIRING. PLUMBER IS TO
PROVIDE CONDENSATE TRAP SEAL, PIPE DRAIN TO A LOCATION
AS SHOWN.
12. THERMOSTAT SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM HEATING MODE TEMPERATURE
SETTING OF 78 F AND A MINIMUM COOLING MODE TEMPERATURE
SETTING OF 70 F. IT SHALL BE ADJUSTABLE TO PROVIDE A
TEMPERATURE RANGE OF UP TO 1OF BETWEEN FULL HEATING AND
FULL COOLING. HEATING AND COOLING TO BE NON- CONCURRENT.
THERMOSTAT TO HAVE REQUIRED STAGES OF COOLING AND HEATING
FOR COMPATIBILITY WITH AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT.
PROVIDE KEY - OPERATED TAMPER PROOF BOX.

14. CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH THE OWNER WITH ALL OPERATING

LEAVE BINDERS AND INDEX BY PRODUCT TYPE. ALSO A SECTION
WITHIN THE MANUAL SHALL BE INDEX WITH NAME, TELEPHONE
NUMBER AND ADDRESS OF ALL LOCAL SUPPLIERS OF ALL MATERIAL
AND EQUIPMENT INSTALLED TOGETHER WITH NAME, TELEPHONE AND
ADDRESS OF ALL CONTRACTORS OF THE PROJECT. PROVIDE 3 SET
TO BE APPROVED BY ENGINEER.
15. CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL WORK INSTALLED UNDER THE
CONTRACT TO BE FREE FROM THE DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP
AND MATERIALS, USUAL WEAR EXPECTED, AND SHOULD ANY SUCH
DEFECTS DEVELOP WITHIN A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AFTER
ACCEPTANCE OF THE BUILDING BY THE OWNER , THIS
CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR AND /OR REPLACE ANY DEFECTIVE
ITEMS AND ALL DAMAGE RESULTING FROM FAILURE OF THESE
ITEMS, AT NO EXPENSE WHATSOEVER TO THE OWNER.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE 6 SETS OF SHOP DRAWINGS SUBMITTALS
FOR ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND LAYOUTS TO BE USED
IN THIS PROJECT FOR APPROVAL BY ARCHITECT /ENGINEER.
SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL INCLUDE ALL MATERIALS AND DUCTWORK AND
PIPING LAYOUTS , COORDINATED WITH ALL RESPECTIVE TRADES.
SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBMITTED AND APPROVAL OBTAINED
PRIOR TO EXECUTION OF ANY WORK IN FIELD.
17. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A SET OF REPRODUCIBLE SEPIA
DRAWINGS SHOWING AS BUILT CONDITIONS AS THEY OCCUR. A
COMPLETE SET OF AS -BUILT REPRODUCIBLE DRAWINGS SHALL BE
SUBMITTED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO THE ARCHITECT /ENGINEER
PRIOR TO FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF INSTALLATION. THESE
DRAWINGS SHALL HAVE ALL INSTALLATIONS REFERENCED BY
DIMMENSIONS TO A SET REFERENCED POINT OR POINTS.
18. IDENTIFY EACH EQUIPMENT AS PER DRAWINGS WITH UNIT NUMBER
PAINTED ON EQUIPMENT WITH 4" TALL LETTERS AND NUMBERS.
19. ALL CHILLED WATER LINES SHALL BE COPPER TYPE K OR
BLACK STEEL PIPE SCHED.40 PIPE WITH WELDED JOINTS.
INSULATED WITH RIGID FOAMGLASS BOARD ASTMC 612 WITH VAPOR
RETARDANT JACKET . INSULATION SHALL BE 1-1/2" THICK.
20. PROVIDE A TEST & BALANCE REPORT ON ALL EQUIPMENT , CHILLED WATER
& AIR DISTRIBUTION UNITS DETAILING SYSTEM PERFORMANCE INCLUDING
AMPS,BHP, GPM, CFM, S.P., E.S.P. , ETC.
TO BE PERFORMED BY A TEST & BALANCE CONTRACTOR.
21. VISIT THE SITE AND COORDINATE ALL NEW WORK WITH EXISTING
FIELD CONDITIONS INCLUDING EXISTING SMOKE REMOVAL SYSTEM DUCTWORK.
PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED DUCT OFFSETS AS PART OF THIS BID.
