AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND THE COMMISSION
OFTHE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI PROHIBITING
SKATEBOARD USE IN SPECIFIED AREAS.

CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,DADE COUNTY,STATE OF FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Skateboarding is hereby prohibited on the City's
public sidewalks and areas of pedestrian traffic in the City's
following Zoning Districts:RO,CO,C-l,C-2,C-2R,C-3,and I.
Section 2.This Ordinance shall be construed to prohibit skate
boarding in areas prohibited by other laws,regulations,rules,
and ordinances of the City,County,or State of Florida.
Section 3.Enforcement of this Ordinance shall be vested in
the discretion of the City Manager and as otherwise provided in
theCodeof City Ordinances.
Section 4.If any portion of this ordinance is held invalid by
a court of competent jurisdiction,such invalidity shall not ef
fect theremainingportionsofthis ordinance.

Section 5.It is the intention of the City Commission and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall be
incorporated intotheCityCodeandtoeffectsuchintentionthe
codifiers may change the words "ordinance"or "section"to such
other appropriate wordor phrase.
Section 6.This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption bytheCity Commission.
