No. 03-86-1248--X ORDINANCE NO.3-86-1248 AN ORDINANCE GEP THE CITY OP SOUTH MIAMI,RESCINDING THE KLICY OF PAYMENT QP INSURANCE PREMIUMS BY TOE CITY FOR CERTAIN OFFICIALS AND PART TIME EMPLOYEES; REPEALING ORDINANCES AND POKTICNS OF THE CITY OOEE IN CONFLICT;PROVIDING CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS THERETO* s-K SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,FOR CDDIFICAnCN AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,DADE COUNTY,FLORIDA,as follows: Section 1.That upon the effective date of this ordinance no further contributions shall bemade by the City of South Miami for the purchaseof health insurance,including life, hospitalization andmedicalgroup insurance toelectedand part time officials or employees of the city. Section 2.The provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to the members of any certified bargaining unit of the city which has a valid agreement with city that provides such insurance coverage to its members who are part time employees. Section 3/Conflicting provisions of Section 2-4.3 of the code of ordinances of the City of South Miami that are inconsistent with the policy contained*in this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4.If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,such invalidity shall not effect the remaining portions of this ordinance. Section 5.it is the intention of the City Commission and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall be incorporated into the city code and to effect such intention, the word ,,ordinance,,may be changed to nsectLonn or an other appropriate word. Section 6-.I This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption by the City Commission of the City of South Miami,Florida.
