FLORIDA,A/K/A 6463 SUNSET DRIVE,SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA.

WHEREAS,Fullerton Associates,Inc.has requested that
the George E.Orr estate be designated as an Historic Property
pursuant to the City of South Miami Zoning Code,and as required
by the special use permit resolution establishing the development;
and
WHEREAS,at a Public Hearing on July 26,1988,the Planning
Board voted 7-0to grant the request.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COMMISSIONOFTHECITYOFSOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA:
Section 1.That the George E.Orr Estate is hereby
designated as an Historic Property,such property legally
described as:
Lot 3,Block 1of the Orr's Pond subdivision,as
recorded at Plat Book 132,Page 34,of the Public
Records of Dade County,Florida,A/K/A 6463 Sunset
Drive,South Miami,Florida.
Section 2.That the designation report attached hereto
as Exhibit "1"is hereby incorporated by referenceregarding
conditions relating to this designation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of September ,1988.

that he concurs with this request,and he hopes that the
Board will approve the request for the historic designation
of this beautiful home.
Chairman Cooper asked Mr.Fullerton i4t this designation is
thelaststepintherequirementsforthePUD.
Mr.Fullerton replied thathethoughtso.
Susan Redding signed in and addressed the Board.She said
that the Sylva Martin Building and the George Orr Estate have
been approved for historic designation by the Environmental
Review and Preservation Board (ERPB)and once this Board
approves this request,then,the request will go before the
City Commission for approval.

Because of the presence of Mr.John Fullerton and Mr.Harry Sasson,the
Chairman moved toitem number 5,Public Hearingonthe Historic Designa
tionoftheGeorgeOrr Estate.
Ms.Susan Perry Redding joined the meeting asa special ERPB member deal
ing with historic preservation.Mr.Sasson stated that when the platting
of the Orr Estate was done,the street address of the Orr Home was changed
from 6491 to 6463.

Diego Saez moved to recommend approval of the
nomination of the George Orr Estate for
Historic Designation.
Chairman Johnson seconded the Motion.
